Description
Lorne Point with cam located in nearby Lorne Surf Club
This is a webcam that consistently takes video of the local surf point so you can work out whether it is worthwhile leaving your armchair to catch some waves.
You can find a spot anywhere between the point and the beach to be in the shot.
Just hold up your GPS and give us a wave to show you have been here.
The cam takes live video so no need to stand around waiting for a screen shot every 5 min.
It moves around a little so wait till it zooms out for the best shot.
Capture a screen shot from the following link to prove your visit either from phoning a friend online at home or your mobile device.
Lorne Point is famous for its sheltered little right handers up to 3-4ft.
Simply walk your board out in the sandy break near the point and ride back to the beach, get out the water and walk back up to the point. Keep the fun up for hours.
Take note depending on sea conditions and tide it can be difficult to be in shot.
Take care, be responsible and don’t put yourself in a difficult position near the water you can’t control.
There is sharp rocks and water!!
Enjoy, look forward to seeing some cachers in my second home town on the Surf Coast.

Thanks themd.
We were on our way home from Apollo Bay and stopped to stretch our legs. I walked up the beach with my eldest to get in the picture. That's is in the lower left corner.
Thanks themd for the cache
