Description

Little Angel #3 - The Vocalist

1 of 3 Little Angels - The Vocalist

This little angel is participating in the 2013/14 GCA movable Weeping Angels game.

  • The game starts on December 1 2013 and finishes on January 31 2014 AEDST.
  • Caches must be found and hidden by the same cacher (i.e. no mailing the cache to another cacher to hide).
  • There is no limit to the distance you can move the cache, but please keep it in areas where it is likely to be found again soon.

If you find the little vocalist -
Then Log her with a Found it log so others know that she's been moved.
And then... please move her on as quickly as possible and within two days. Hide her where she can easily be found by other geocachers but well out of sight of muggles.
And then...  create a Moved log giving her new coordinates and a simple, clear hint to help the next finder.
Above all ... Be Good!

Logs

A review of this moveable shows the cache may have been collected from its currently listed co-ords, however it has not been relocated. The previous finder was contacted regarding the cache however it has not been re-located. As a result, we are archiving the cache to stop cachers looking for a cache that is obviously not at the listed co-ords. This is also done to keep the Geocaching Australia database clean and up to date,

If the cache owner can confirm that the cache has be relocated, they can post an unarchive log and the cache will be back in the game.

Reading previous logs, this moveable may still be in location OR may have been found, removed and not relocated yet. We know moveables can sometimes be forgotten / missed / left in the bottom of a caching bag, so a check has been undertaken on this one.

An update will be posted within 28 days….

Log was signed and cache left with Chwiliwr.

After doing a number of geocaching . com caches at Yanchep and a GCA cache at Two Rocks I was headed home so called in to find this cache at the revised coordinates as I was passing.

Cache found without problems this time at the new coordinates.

Log was signed and cache picked up for the rest of the family to find.

Thanks Purplepeopleater for the cache.

Saw the earlier DNF but thought that we would try to find it whilst we were in the area.

Either the coordinates are not quite right or it is gone as there was nothing in any of the bushes at any height for 15m around ground zero.

Little angel and her friends were found whilst they were attending the Parkville mega event and whilst this was on there was also a GA event for all the cachers to meet up and then to see a huge collection of moveables. Little angel was glad to see me and we went off for a ride on the ebike and looked at some sights and grabbed a few friends for her to travel with. They also went on lots of tram rides in Melbourne and then to St Kilda which they were so excited about. They got to see a funeral procession in Bourke street for a cafe owner which was very moving. But then it was time to head to the airport.

After having brought Little angel and several moveables back from Melbourne i decided to head around the area today and drop them off so they could see this great state of ours and enjoy the many sights that there are to see. They really enjoyed their plane ride to Perth especially the view out of the window. They were excited to be in Western Australia and could not wait to look around and meet some new friends.

I travelled back home to SA from Perth for family reasons and decided that Melbourne is only a short hop from Adelaide, so I logged an attendance at the Parkville Mega event and headed over for 5 days in Melbourne. I hired an E bike and had it for 4 days so was able to get around to many places and grab lots of caches as well as biking from the Youth Hostel in North Melbourne to Parkeville which was only a short ride. I had the bike for 4 days and covered about 150km. I took the bike monday arvo and checked out of the hostel tuesday morning and decided to head out to Parkeville on the tram and grab this one and grab a few others as well. It was rather gloomy with the weather and after getting back into the cbd decided to ghead to the airport. Thanks for bringing me here and to this cache purplepeopleater Clapping

I have bought did six moveables across from Tasmania to put out around Melbourne. I hope they get found before my next visit over here. Out in the suburbs today so a few places to hide them. Her friend the gnome is hiding behind a tree and so you could get two moveables at one stop. Little angel is up a tree of course

Out on a rainy Friday morning in Trevallyn Reserve with the intention of collecting up some moveables that have recently been put out. However after I found this lovely little angel I might pack up and come back another day. I don’t think many people will be out today as the rain seems to have set in. Ah - two leeches on my leg - now where did they come from! Snakes gone and leeches out!

Looking at the GA cacher app showed four moveables located near each other over at Sisters Beach which is around 2.5 hrs return but the weather this morning was atrocious so delayed the trip until this afternoon. The younger of two geo pooches(Murder) was eager for the trip, while the older geo pooch(Sirius) thought it best to rest his ageing bones in front of the wood heater. At 16.5 y.o. I don't blame him but has earned the now easy life as he has climbed countless mountains geocaching with me over many years.Setting off the weather had cleared a little, but as we passed Burnie and headed past Boat Harbour the large cloud banks looked ominous again. Thankfully the rain stayed further inland and was fairly fine on approaching this first cache on the list. An easy and quick find thankfully. The cache is still all ok and ready to travel some more km's. The next fine day I will take it back towards southern Tasmania. Many thanks for the cache Purplepeopleeater...cheers ST

13-Jul-17
We had planned one caching trip to Hobart and the Eastern Shore during The Christmas in July game. The ground kept shifting as new Trophy challenges were added so we needed to add more GA caches to out to find list. Not only did we need cache finds for Christmas in July, we needed a cache for a Frigid Solstice, 10 GA Dragon Zone caches for the 12th for the find 25 caches on each day of the month as well as 13 moveables that we need to move between 250 and 500km and a cache in the Sorell council area, we had found caches in Sorell before Dragon Zone but needed one after April 2014. Of course there were also unfound GC caches in the areas we were going to visit. All this meant our to find list was quite long and we were unlikely to manage to knock them all off today. We also needed a day that the weather Bureau forecast predicted would be mainly fine. July 12 looked like it.

We usually leave home quite early however with the threat of ice on sections of the Bass and Midlands highways we decided to head off just before 7:00. We did have the added complication of dosing our daughter's cat with its antibiotic pill. It only took one person to administer a pill to our last cat however daughter's cat, that is smaller definitely needs two people one to make sure the pill goes in and is swallowed and the second to firmly hold cat particularly her paws. After leaving our place we headed to daughter's abode where we were greeted by a nature strip strewn with her household garbage - today was bin day in her street. There was no bin in sight. It appeared that someone had tipped her bin out and stolen the bin. After dosing the cat we found a large bin bag, collected the scattered garbage and took it back to our place so that it could go out with ours tomorrow.

Off we headed again an hour later than we had intended. There was little likelihood of ice on the roads at this time even though there was quite thick frost on the road edges at Latrobe, Deloraine and Westbury. We turned off the Midlands Highway on to the Mud Walls Road and headed through Colebrook and Campania then on to Sorell and Midway Point. This was one of the moveable caches on our list.

Found this one in its safe hide will take it on a little trip to fulfil the requirements of a DZ Trophy.

Hello Purplepeopleater thanks for the cache.

I had just dropped off MrsD to start organising a pre Mothers Day event and was on my way back home via the long way.

It weather was overcast and raining so I made a quick dash along the track and found the Angle quickly.

I didn't move it as I knew I wouldn't be able to re-hide it in a timely manner.

I was not looking for this cache! I was not looking for any cache! I was not even carrying my GPSr! REALLY!! We'd been at home getting a bout of 'cabin fever' when Mrs P said, "Let's go somewhere." I suggested Richmond. She suggested the Hobart Rivulet Linear Park. We hadn't done the Rivulet track for several years, so it won. On our way walking back down the track, and pointing to the spot, I said, "There was a cache in there until it got muggled." On a whim, I walked over and shifted the 'cover' and LO! An angel appeared before me. I hope it is a guardian angel as the spot needs one. I signed the log, after all, I had found it! TFTC. And thanks, too, Mrs P!
Now, having read the details for this little angel, she has been retrieved from the cleft in the "rock of ages" and placed at Surprised S42° 51.010' E147° 23.447'

Operation: Dawn of War (Clan Phoenix Clan Phoenix Gnomeland Raid)

Cache Condition:
Argh there you are! I saw your twin before. Vocalist is still signing sweetly... of devouring souls.

Operation Summary: Leaving Sydney at 4am to reach The Gnomelands by dawn I kicked off the 'The Great Mount Piddington Moveable Challenge' with a raid of freedom to release over 60 moveables from their mountain prison to freedom. 4.5 hours of morning caching saw a good few sack-fulls return with me to Sydney.

The caches have been moved to St Leonards for some TLC and a bath so don’t go looking for them there. They will be released shortly in various locations.
