Description

An entrant in the 2013-14 moving cache race

World leading research by eminent ANU professor, Dr Makeit Upp has revealed that the life cycle of angels bears an unexpected resemblence to the humble chicken. After studying angels for many years, Dr Upp has discovered that, like chickens, angels hatch from eggs. Dr Upp has also revealed that he recently made the first recorded discoveries of angel eggs while hunting for weeping angels in suburban Canberra. In an exclusive interview with this journalist, Dr Upp has revealed that the eggs are almost perfectly spherical, typically orange or white and approximately the same size as a ping pong ball. He also speculated that the angel egg phenomena might not be unique to Canberra and that with December and January the typical angel hatching season, angel eggs are likely to be discovered in other parts of Australia over the summer months.

Following his surprising discovery, Dr Upp was inspired to undertake the first ever study of angel DNA. This revealed that angels and birds share a common pre-avian ancestor and that both angels and birds may be descended from the pterodactyls that were once prolific across the Gondwanaland continent. Dr Upp remarked that this result was not as surprising as first thought and that a link between birds and angels was first speculated on by Sir Joseph Bank's assistant-botanist, Gno Kloo in 1770 due to the fact that both species have wings.

Dr Upp indicated that his discoveries may also explain a series of unexplained mortalities over many years by suggesting that it is possible that weeping chickens may have the same unusual powers as weeping angels to bring about premature death. When approached by this journalist, the Federal health minister refused to comment on whether weeping chickens may also be a public health risk, similar to weeping angels.

Meanwhile, in breaking news, police are at a loss to explain the recent death of four Adelaide teenagers soon after they claimed to have discovered a nest containing weeping magpie eggs but have confirmed that they are investigating the possibility of fowl play.

Wow that is a LOT of caches my BB brought home! I would have gone too but some of us had to go to work. Now my house is full of Gnomes, frogs, Bingos and Angels! I’m going to have to do something about this and start hiding them again before they take over our unit once and for all! Very Happy

Operation: Dawn of War (Clan Phoenix Clan Phoenix Gnomeland Raid)

Cache Condition:
I had no idea Angels laid eggs?!

Operation Summary: Leaving Sydney at 4am to reach The Gnomelands by dawn I kicked off the 'The Great Mount Piddington Moveable Challenge' with a raid of freedom to release over 60 moveables from their mountain prison to freedom. 4.5 hours of morning caching saw a good few sack-fulls return with me to Sydney.

The caches have been moved to St Leonards for some TLC and a bath so don’t go looking for them there. They will be released shortly in various locations.

Never knew that Angels laid eggs, however you cannot argue with the evidence.
White Angel Egg has made its way to Clwydd and after a short rest will be on its way to the nursery.
