Description

Even the small ones are deadly.

Rules (not guidelines)

  • Cache sizes other than micros are encouraged. The log can be in a micro container, but it is encouraged that the angel be regular size or larger.
  • Your cache must be a bone fide angel. Any creature can be a Weeping Angel but it must have wings. Planes and spaceships don't count.
  • Your cache may be store bought or hand crafted.
  • Caches for the competition must be published on 1 December 2013 Australian Eastern Time (GCA Time)
Geocaching Australia has the facility to automatically publish your cache on 1 December 2012
Please refer to the Geocaching Australia wiki for more information
  • You are welcome to join the game after it has started provided you list the hidden date and published date as 1 December 2013 and add the word weepingangel to your cache tags
  • You are required to add the word weepingangel to the tags on your entry at Geocaching Australia
You can add the word weepingangel to your tags by visiting your cache page and clicking on Tag in the Actions section in the right hand navigation section of your cache page
  • The game commences at 00:00:00 1 December 2013 AEDST and concludes 23:59:59 31 January 2014 AEDST
  • The game administrators decision is final
  • You can find and move your own cache during the game period provided it is not the caches first move
  • Caches must be found and hidden by the same cacher (i.e. no mailing the cache to another cacher to hide)
  • There is no limit to the number of times other cachers can find / move the cache provided there are at least two other finds / moves in between
  • If a cacher moves your cache overseas and it remains unfound overseas for 1 week or more, the same cacher may move your cache (within the country or to another country) without breaking the "2 moves" rule
  • There is no limit to the distance other cachers can move the cache
  • Other cachers in the game will find / move your cache, but they are requested to move it on within 2 days

This cache looks like it's MIA so we'll archive it to stop it turning up in lists and queries. If it resurfaces then the owner can resurrect it by placing an "Unarchived" log against it.

Well I did not find this angel, got to GZ and circled around a good 15 metres found the only bit of rock 12 metres away from GZ but no angel to be seen.
Either I have gone cache blind (Quite possible!) or the coords are wildly out or more likely it has been muggled.
Will try to contact last hider for more details.

Sorry for holding so long. Christmas and New Year madness. To make up for it this BADU is now in a top spot near the beach. No need to Bush bash, follow the paths.

Checked up on this angel this morning. She is still there. I moved her a couple of metres to make her a bit more conspicuous and added a hint.

23-Dec-13
Oops, sorry Zal about the "no hint" and you wasting your time. Blame it on my noobieness.

I was just about to give a hint "under a rock" but that's a blit useless in the circumstances. It is in the same vicinity as the one you hid but ~3m north-east.

23-Dec-13
I scoured the whole area expecting an easy capture as I've used the spot before and being no hint but alas the BADU has evaded me. I'll return if a hint gets added tomorrow

Don't bother looking this one is already gone on its way.

Another new moveable is always good to find! A new Angel as well with more to come (I hope).
There will be short stopover in the Blue Mountains before the final destination.
Special thanks to tuena for the drive around Berry!

The logbook with this angel is for Angelus Arctissimum GA5768 which hasn't been added to GCA as yet. Changed the details to reflect Amigurumi Angel.

01-Dec-13
Received insider info that a batch of weeping angels were invading Berry so rather than let them settle grabbed them ensuring I was looking the other way. I think I'm confused about the affect these angels have but I survived.
