Description

Late, But in Earnest. Sero joins Leapfrog in January!

"Sero Sed Serio" is Latin for "Late, But in Earnest"

It is the motto of Clan Kerr, my mother's maiden name and Scottish ancestory.

Three new Leap Frogs were released at the ZEAMMAFF Event held on January 3rd 2012... who fit this motto perfectly and so were awarded names accordingly!

Sero is a Dreaming Staked Green Frog with a spikey personallity. So rather than trees he likes to be firmly planted in the ground while still enjoying a high vantage. His two best mates are (Gn)Sed and Serio who also came late to the party but are chuffed to be involved in the Leap Frog Event this year! Please help him jump around and make up for lost time. After the event he will become a normal GCA Moveable Cache :D

If you find him, take him with you and log a "FOUND" Entry.

Then find him a new home and  take the co-ordinates there and come back to log a "MOVED" entry.

Please try NOT to hide him next to existing GC.com caches so he doesnt get stolen by  mistake!

Headed down to Melbourne for the Meet the Moveables event at Brimbank Park, where this moveable, along with about 120 other were found. A good turn out at the event and everyone seem to have a lot fun talking about all things caching while finding the moveables and getting a start on the Journey or Destination summer game. A good couple of hours were spent in the area before witching hour rolled around and it was time to head back up the highway towards home. T'was an uneventful trip and with the number of moveable on offer, was certainly worth the drive.

Thanks for the moveable.....

A quick pickup of moveables today for a secret meeting to take place in just a little while. Your geocache would like to join the secret activities so it may not move for a little while but it will be safe and sound and will be moved along (and hopefully logged quite a bit) in the not too distant future.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for this geocache here today.

Very Happy I could say I found Sero, but in reality, it's probably a comme ci comme ca. It was pretty funny chasing movable gnomes I'm a Gnome, duh! , angels Don't Blink, frogs RibbitRibbit etc down the freeway only to catch them and be plucking them from their hide'y hole and bursting at the seams carrying Whistle these wiggly giggly thingys back to a box in your mobile and clutching onto them almost for dear life. The whole look is hilarious. An enormous Thank You Clapping to Just a Cacher and Black Bunny for finding Sero and dropping him off. Thank you Zalgariath for sharing Sero.

Feeling really cranky, you travel all this this way to collect caches and people don't log that they have taken them, or they've had them in their possession for months. Brick WallBrick Wall No consideration. Ruins the game!!! and it's unfair. ..... i'm just cranky because there are supposed to be 86 movables in the ACT to date and I can't access the majority of them and I'm fining this to be the case most of the time. Right or wrong from what I can see I can see why cachers don't bother too much about Geocaching Australia caches.

I came up here yesterday with my ailing phone. It wouldn't work without external power, so I went home, cacheless - and feeling pretty crook

But today, while feeling a lot better, and still phoneless, came back with a hand drawn map to track down this cache.

Lo and behold, it worked!

Collected this and another moveable. Found a santa as well. Not sure that was meant to be a moveable though!

of that one there was some confusion here as another movable nearby and we found the wrong one but soon got it straight and found both so all is well, popped him back in the stump

found with SDL and Albida interesting location

08-Jul-13
Headed off with Albida and Mtrax for (another) visit to the Gnome Gnation to see a few new residents. Although word on the way established a few had already taken off for greener, yet colder, pastures, we continued with our plan and still managed to catch up with quite a few of the recent arrivals.

Our plan this time was not a mass round up, but that doesn't mean future trips wont include a complete clean out. Time, and re-enforcements, will dictate future retrieval missions.

Thanks for this one.....

Sero has joined with a group of disenchanted Gnomes in the occupation of this tract of land, the aim being to secede from Australia and create their own independent country.
However with Gnomes in charge this may turn into a dictatorship, it remains to see if emmigration is greater than immigration.

Our favourite geocaching park appears to have acquired a cluster of 9 GCA movable caches, all close together, so today, geodaughter and I set out to find them.

Geodaughter spotted this spikey frog asleep and hiding behind a bush. Strangely, the log container is not as pictured, now being a 35mm film canister. The log is completely saturated, coming apart at the seams and unsignable, but since I have him at home, I'll let it dry out and see if it's fit to put back in the container. If not, I'll find a replacement for the current log.

Thanks Zalgariath.

This was the 2nd of 3 in this little cluster of Wattle Park GCA caches for me this morning. The rain had started to come down with some gusto so I had a peek at the hint to speed things up Embarassed and soon had the stash in hand at 08:55. This was such a perfect spot for a froggie to hide that I left him right where I found him.

Surprisingly, the log sheet is quite damp but it can still be written on.

25/07/2012 22:49 Found this little fellow on my way home from Through Cache V3. At first I was unsure which side of the wall to be on but the hint guided me well. He was well hidden back there and I got him as the rain started. The niche is quite a surprise and actually kept me dry as a bone! Log becoming damp and we are filling up the back page.
