Description

Freda the friendly female frog

'Leap Frog' -- the Moving Cache Race -- December 2011 until January 2012

Please don't hang on to the Frog for very long. If possible, re-hide the Frog on the same day you find it. At most, please find a new hiding place within 48 hours.

Remember that 'moveables' are meant to be found! Don't choose a difficult hiding place, or one that's far off the beaten path. Pick a place that completely out of sight of muggles, but which can be reached easily by frog hunters. And give a good clue!

This way, Leap Frogs will move on their way quickly and safely!

Enjoy!

Thanks for the frog

Mr Frog jumped out of the pond one day
And found himself in the rain

So he jumped in the pond again.

Found this frog and another while hiding four frogs on the domain. I went to a location that had been used before by old saint to hid Cadbury frog .... He is so large ..... And found Freda and bruiser. Some quick checks and I found that they were ok to collect, so I whisked them away and left Cadbury and frog marley in there place.

Anyway, a new log signature, and one anyone who saw play school as a kid would know.

We (geo kid a, geo kid I and myself) did a frog run around Hobart, sorell, Richmond and glenorchy and came up with 12 moveables including 10 frogs, one traffic sign moveable and the touring teddies. Great little get for three and a quarter hours including re hiding all bar two frogs.

Found this cache at 8.17 after climbing up hill. Got to take the hard way!!!!!

Anyway here is my log signature

Da -Glumpf went the little Green frog one day

Freda is now hidden in the vicinity of three other frogs, although separated from them by a road. I suggest you approach her hiding place from the field above, rather than the road below, as the terrain is a little steep.

20-Dec-11
Freda was a tad uncomfortable in the spiky grass, so she is about to have a chauffeur driven trip southwards.

17-Dec-11
Moved 48.53km
Freda has been left in a restful spot but near a highway for easy access

17-Dec-11
Found on our way to the north on a frog napping exercise cleverly disguised as a christmas shopping expedition

16-Dec-11
Moved 12.73km
Took some frogs on a tour of the coast, and Freda found a nice big shady tree to hide out of the hot sun.

13-Dec-11
Freda liked her bed in the, er, 'differently coloured bush' (political correctness for shrubbery???) so much that she didn't want to come out immediately, but we eventually persuaded her.

Or, maybe we just grabbed her against her will and stuffed her in a bag with half a dozen other frogs like an evil froglomaniac. One or the other...

11-Dec-11
Moved 85.16km
When given the opportunity, Freda hopped off happily into the park and found a nice bush to settle under for the night.

10-Dec-11
Frog-nabbed on a second early morning raid into the Tamar Valley. After being unsuccessful last evening, we reread the log late last night and decided to return to extend the search area. After a while Freda was discovered. She is a very aimable and welcoming frogette. We will enjoy her company for a few hours before sending her on her way. RibbitRibbitRibbit

09-Dec-11
We came through at about 5:30pm but after an extensive search we did not find Freda. We hope that this frog had already been collected and not logged and that it hasn't been muggled.

08-Dec-11
As we were settling down for the evening a new published alert appeared mmm... will we go find a FTF, tempting, thinking..... ooh another alert and another and another - four FTF's on offer who can resist that. Out the door we dash with the necessary technology to attempt this night time operation. Arrive to find Freda in residence a quick grab then off to the next one. Thanks Uncletom3 for a great nights caching and giving us the thrill of 4 FTF Ribbit

08-Dec-11
Freda is something of a late bloomer, but has finally joined the race.
