Description

Al looks like he's seen a ghost, or maybe he is one.

'Leap Frog' -- the Moving Cache Race -- December 2011 until January 2012

Please don't hang on to the Frog for very long. If possible, re-hide the Frog on the same day you find it. At most, please find a new hiding place within 48 hours.

Remember that 'moveables' are meant to be found! Don't choose a difficult hiding place, or one that's far off the beaten path. Pick a place that completely out of sight of muggles, but which can be reached easily by frog hunters. And give a good clue!

This way, Leap Frogs will move on their way quickly and safely!

Enjoy!

Hi UncleTom
Had to go to Sorell this morning; so took a slightly longer trip to get this croaker.
A drizzly morning, but not to be detered; looked and managed a quick find at 0723hrs this morning. I found it with six other ribbits hiding near a private power pole under plenty of vegetation at Richmond in a graveyard that I did not know existed.
Thanks to Kaatka for taking me to a new venue and thanks to you for the cache;
Cheers OldSaint.

Found this naughty group of frogs together and tried to separate them but they'd have nothing to do with it so eventually had to place them all together in their little group of 7 for a frogoboree.

08-Feb-12
Found this frog lurking with 6 others under a tree in the shade. They seemed to be rather enjoying themselves and making a bit of a froggy racket so scooped them up before they drew more attention to themselves.

Found this cache and rescued from a fate worse than death : a trip to the mainland of Australia. Actually found a large group of frogs that had been surrounding the event at the beltana on Friday night.

Thanks for the frog

Mr Frog jumped out of the pond one day
And found himself in the rain
Said he, "I'll get wet and I might catch a cold."
So he jumped in the pond again.

Found this frog far from where it was placed. It (apparently) hopped into a bag and was put into the NTrailTB and transported to Launceston where it has been partying and seeing in the New Year in comfort at a swank motel room. These partying frogs were given a choice of wine or beer or mixed spirits.....
Once they recover, we will put them back out.

geo kid a, geo kid i and myself left at 5.21 on a frog raid to north west, and north tasmania. our goal was simple, to liberate the frogs from this region and bring them to civilisation Smile

we were successful though most of the north west, only missing a few frogs that had been captured by local cachers on the previous day.

In all we liberated over 25 frogs back to below the border - or at least the imaginary mason dixon line.......

all frogs will be released back to the wild tomorrow.

We checked, he does glow in the dark! There was a thought of keeping him overnight but we reckoned it's not fair on these late starters to deny them any chance of catching up so out he goes. He's under a bridge. We'd be interested to know if the glowing aids anyone to find him in the dark. If you're going to hunt for him after dark, try without the hint first and see how you go. Very HappyRibbit

As we were settling down for the evening a new published alert appeared mmm... will we go find a FTF, tempting, thinking..... ooh another alert and another and another - four FTF's on offer who can resist that. Out the door we dash with the necessary technology to attempt this night time operation. Arrive to find Al Beano still in residence glowing by torchlight, night caching is growing on us, Thanks Uncletom3 for a great nights caching and giving us the thrill of 4 FTF's Ribbit
