Description

NOT A MOVEABLE CACHE

I'm just a little frog that's travelled a long way in the recent Leapfrog event. I've returned home now and dont want to travel any more, I just want to stay here nearby all of my slippery friends.

Come and visit me if you want I'm hiding near a lot of relatives that have really mutiplied with all of the recent rain. You can walk AROUND the nearby paintball event course or in from the access road. Maybe even down from the railway line.

Please take the few extra seconds to reseal properly and recover kneedeep as he hates the sunlight.

Logs

20-Apr-19
Spotted at the event in Queanbeyan

20-Aug-18
Had a good poke around at GZ but could not find it.

19-May-17
Parked at the local tip - well the car park for the paintball but it looked like a tip!! Walked up the hill and then down to GZ. The GPS kept sending me to the same place but I couldn't find a cache container there. Broadened my search and still couldn't find anything so returned to the van and looked this one up again. Wish I had known what I was looking for before I left because even though I couldn't find it I could certainly hear the little blighter and his friends at GZ.
Thanks.

#GA1188 - 17:15; I had this cache on my radar for the Summer Scavenger Series, so headed out this afternoon to grab it. Found a convenient park and made my way quickly to GZ. Searched the obvious spot without success, so referred to the previous log, which suggested I was in the right place. Found the little critter on the second pass Whistle . Despite the time taken to locate the cache, extracting the log from three layers of protection took longer Doh Anyway, log signed and I decided to head up the hill for another of the CO's caches. Lonely little frog; hiding away here. We were its first visitors since June 2015. Scratched around and found it. Very cute peeping out. The frog is well and its log in fine too. TFTC BigON.

Grabbed this one on the way to the railway caches. TFTC BigON.

17-May-15
i was on my way to Sydney when i seen a GA in the car so i put my name in side. he is a cool guy now he has had a nice trip and has gone home Whistle

16-May-15
Well, I got caught out with this little fellow.
With some spare time up my sleeve, I ventured out to find this critter.
After a rather large excavation exercise, I finally found him. No way was he seeing any sun under all that leaf litter.
Anyway, thinking it was just another movable, I chose to take him with me.
Sitting on the dash of the car, he enjoyed a trip to Sydney and back. It wasnt until I was back in the area chasing down a new GC cache, that I realised my error, so returned him to his hiding spot.
So he was absent from his hiding spot for a total of 30 hours. I guess not so bad as he hasn't been found for so long.
Thanks for the non movable frog.

09-Sep-12
Nice little walk and found a nice little frog. All in good condition! Thanks Bigon!

12-Mar-12
Ribbit Kneedeep has moved into his new home and is waiting for visitors, checkout the nearby bus bunker!, just not too closely.

Dropped off for the owner to collect - Bye Bye KneeDeep

13-Feb-12
Found on Just A Cachers and Black Bunnys table.
Thanks for the Frog.

12-Feb-12
Nice find today among all the Frogs, Gnomes and others over 70 participants as well as the odd human, some of them very odd indeed!
Many Frogs and Gnomes went to Canberra and who knows where from there, and many stayed to be relocated around the Sydney area very soon.

12-Feb-12
Found at an impromptu Frog and Gnome party in the Blue Mountains.

A great number of frogs, gnomes and other moveables gathered to swap tales of their life on the road.

Thanks for the Frog BigOn

12-Feb-12
What we ended up with was afternoon tea, bags and bags of frogs, and pleasant chats with some very nice cachers - as well as pjmpjm and RogerW3!

Please forgive me if I got it wrong, but I seem to remember pjmpjm, RogerW3, Toriaz and Taiko's family, all at the party. As well as a few young ladies and gentlemen running around and being generally helpful.

We now have many, many frogs to rehome, so the sooner we start the better!

12-Feb-12

KneeDeep couldn't resist visiting the Blackheath gathering.

He was there with many, many other Leap Frogs and even a few gnomes.

I signed and then left him on the table.

No doubt others have already moved him along . . .

Bye, KneeDeep!

12-Feb-12
Spotted at the Blackheath frog party - where frogs far outnumbered the humans. TFT Ribbit

11-Feb-12
'KneeDeep' is ready to party with all his mates, they cannot wait to meet more old and new friends.
Don't go looking for any of them before 2:30pm on Sunday.

10-Feb-12
'Leapfrog KneeDeep' has made his way to Lithgow to visit the Clwydd Headquarters. He is getting ready for the party and the big reunion on Sunday, quite keen to meet old and new friends.
Don't go looking for him he is gone!

10-Feb-12

KneeDeep is in Lithgow!

His stay here may be brief, but I trust he'll enjoy it.

10-Feb-12

Great to see KneeDeep up in Leura!

But his visit will be a brief one.

He'll soon be off to Lithgow . . .

09-Feb-12
'KneeDeep' has made a short stopover in Leura to meet the local cacher. He will arrange for further travel up the mountains where all the Frogs and Gnomes will assemble for the big party Sunday!
Don't go looking for him he has gone.

09-Feb-12
'KneeDeep' has heard of a way to get back home, even if a bit roundabout. He has hitched a ride to the mountains and hopes that he can catch a bus or something to get him home.

09-Feb-12
KneeDeep will be heading home to ACT this weekend. He has been to the travel agent and booked a ticket on the BB bus. As long as he can save enough money between now and then, he should be home very soon Very HappyRibbit

09-Feb-12
Waiting for rogerw3 to come and host the frog gathering today

09-Feb-12
KneeDeep is off to a big frog meet today and was pretty excited about it too! Ribbit

31-Jan-12
Another jump for this frog during racetime, he's curled up with a friend to rest up after all the recent running around.

30-Jan-12
Another frog I hadn't seen. Time for at least one more move before the end of the race.

29-Jan-12
KneeDeep hopped down to the river for a quiet night with the local frogs

29-Jan-12
Found young KneeDeep out in the wilds of Lugarno on a very nice walk

29-Jan-12
KneeDeep called out to us as we walked along this pathway today so I pickede him up and put him in my backpack

21-Jan-12
Having found four froggies along the path here while checking on Zalgar's Animalogical waypoint, it seemed only (anima)logical to rehide them all on the way back. The new spot is on the downhill side of the path.

21-Jan-12
Having finally found a nearby cache using updated coords, this was one of 4 little ole froggies hiding on the path to the missing waypoint for Animalogical that I wanted to check (it was missing as expected). Grabbed all four, and then dropped them and another along the track on the return trip.

20-Jan-12
I'm only small so look carefully.

18-Jan-12
Another new frog, hopping right along.

17-Jan-12
'KneeDeep' had a short rest in Lithgow and is on the move again, this spot will do me fine he said and off he went.

16-Jan-12
'KneeDeep' has arrived in Lithgow and will have a short rest before he resumes his travels back to the big smoke. He said he did not mind traveling in such a big tour group!

16-Jan-12
This frog is now touring beautiful Lithgow, after a relaxing and scenic trip through the Blue Mountains.

Clwydd may even be on the itinerary . . .

No doubt transportation will be arranged back to Sydney in due course!

16-Jan-12
Great name . . .

And yet another brand new froggie!

I have a feeling this one would like to travel out to Lithgow . . .

Will be a nice, long trip with lots of beautiful views . . .

15-Jan-12
After a very exciting night of frog discussion, my frog guests had determined that they wanted to be taken on a complete tour of Bicentennial Park today becasue they'd heard that it was chock-a-block full of froggie food Ribbit

It had been torential rain during the night and another big downpour was in progress as I prepared for the day's excursion (this is like an essay in primary school, isn't it? Shocked ) Well, to cut to the chase, it was agreed that they could each choose a spot to be dropped as we did the tour.

KneeDeep was surprised to see this little nook with big birdsnest ferns growing under the trees. He hopped into the centre of the nearest one to look for insects in the mulch and seemed to be ready to settle down for good there!

15-Jan-12
I arrived at blossom*s place this morning, ready for a relaxing Sunday and a cup of tea. But as I came in the door, a huge din of froggie rabble rushed over, all clamouring to meet me and wanting to be shown the sights and taken to the best eating spots. Guess I'd better oblige Very HappyRibbit

14-Jan-12
KneeDeep is the sort of little frog anybody would be pleased to meet. Not like some of his big burly travelling companions who made my life very difficult!

After a number of PM negotiations and 21 text messages from lemmykc Surprised (only someone from the modern youth can text that fast!), I was crawling though the undergrowth at the gates to the Royal Botanical Gardens on a summer Saturday evening of the Sydney Festival. If anyone noticed lemmykc in there, I am sure they would have disregarded the sight as "kids getting up to who-know-what" but someone a little older (like me!) may not have been quite so easily ignored. "Some weird homeless lady" they probably thought Confused

As I dived into the greenery, I heard a lot of rustling Shocked Goodness knows who else is in here, I thought and peered around in the 6pm gloom. Maybe rats? Sad But it was very loud rustling Shocked Maybe a real homeless person? Neutral When I first explored this area for a good spot, there had been no sign of this sort of problem Surprised

But after a few frightened minutes, a "tip bird" revealed itself (ibis)and I settled in to gather up the frogs. This took a heap longer than I expected to be in the bushes and it also turned out that the 2 big shopping bags I had brought were not enough and they were overflowing with bits of frogs hanging out the top everywhere!

I had to sit on the grass next to the gardens and repack everything which must have been a very strange sight Laughing But the long and the short of it is that no security staff stopped me and this guy came home with me on the train Dancing

This froggy made it all the way to Sydney RibbitRibbitRibbitRibbitVery Happy

Don't bother looking for it though, Blossom* already got them Shocked

10-Jan-12
gmj3191 was very kind and he decided to go pick up around 10 frogs so I can take them to Sydney Very Happy So he then dropped them into my backyard (almost literally!). And now this froggie gets to go on a trip to Sydney!!! DancingVery HappyRibbit

10-Jan-12
Moved to an audition queue, to see if he'll get taken to Sydney by lemmykc. Don't bother looking here, as lemmykc will grab him in a flash.

10-Jan-12
Found him this morning lurking under the ivy beside the post where he should have been.
I'll move him to Hampton, but then I think he'll be visiting Sydney.

03-Jan-12
As I did not pick the frog up, I'll log a moved log to let others know it is still here.

03-Jan-12
I decided to go on a leapfrog hunt on the way home before going out for the night. I had planned to log finds on ten frogs, and was successful on finding them all. On about the third frog I reached down and felt a sharp pain in my right eye. I had spiked it with a leaf of a nearby sword grass plant. Little did I know at that time it was going to be a very long and painful recovery over the next five days. While I was able to manage a cache a day over those days I spent most of my time lying flat with the eye bandaged shut. They don’t call it cacher grass for no reason!! Thanks for the frog!

03-Jan-12
I'd frogotten I was going after Toadkill MCR so took the time to hide Oggie and KneeDeep while I was at it. KneeDeep found a knee high hide and ducked under cover.

03-Jan-12
I've been watching a few Leapfrogs sitting out east for a while, today I decided to go grab them - 2nd Leapfrog attempt and the first found. I'll move KneeDeep on soon - possibly even today!

26-Dec-11
A big hop from Canberra to here! But landed safely and ready to go...

21-Dec-11

14-Dec-11
Found @ 12:25pm peering out at me, will move on ASAP

13-Dec-11
I was looking for a "knee-deep" joke but I found this one.
It actually works better...

A boy was crossing a road one day when a frog called out to him and said, 'If you kiss me, I'll turn into a beautiful Princess.' The boy picked up the frog and put it in his pocket.

The frog said, 'Hey, if you kiss me and turn me back into a beautiful Princess, I'll love you forever.' The boy took the frog out of his pocket, smiled at it, and put it back in his pocket.

The frog yelled, 'If you kiss me and turn me back into a Princess, I'll clean your house, cook for you, and love you forever.' The boy took the frog out, smiled at it, and put it back.

Finally the frog asked, 'What is it? I've told you I'm a beautiful Princess, that I'll cook and clean for you and love you forever. Why won't you kiss me?'

The boy said, 'Look, I'm a cub scout. I don't have time for girlfriends, but a talking frog is really cool'.

Ribbit >>> I'm a Laaaaaaaady, duh!

13-Dec-11

Picked up on an evening walk in the hills. A bit blowy, but I had a much better time of it than I did last night!

03-Dec-11
Finally, some frogs down South. A brisk walk up and down a mountain to collect a swag of frogs. Backpack felt like a Namadgi adventure backpack after a while.

03-Dec-11
So many frogs - I'm exhausted. Thanks for the fun BigOn.

03-Dec-11
More or less on the way home so we decided to add 'just one more' frog to our haul. Power trail coming up! Thanks BigOn!!

02-Dec-11
Woohoo! *ftf*
I saw this published and headed out to grab it and on the way I noticed a closer one so popped out to grab it first. Lucky I did because enroute to gz I speed the Co sauntering home after only just hiding him. If I had come straight Fromm home I would have got there before the frog! Nice to see you again ON
