Description

Michigan J. Frog is an animated cartoon character who debuted in the Looney Tunes cartoon One Froggy Evening (December 31, 1955), written by Michael Maltese and directed by Chuck Jones.

In this cartoon, Michigan is a male frog who wears a top hat, carries a cane, sings pop music, ragtime, Tin Pan Alley hits, and other songs from the late 19th and early 20th century while dancing and performing acrobatics in the style of early 20th century vaudeville.

A moveable frog by The Empire. Leap Frog is a moving cache race for December 2011 and January 2012. It has two logs, one it's sitting on, and one in a bison tube. Don't worry too much about physically signing the log, moving is proof enough of the find and photos are always cool.

I think this froggy needs to be archived? It seems clear he hasn't been here for some time...

Ate some lunch at Banjos and the courtyard was fairly quiet with not many muggles around, so we wandered over to see if we could find this one. No luck. If it was in the 'zappy' bit where the clue seemed to imply it was, then I think it's definitely gone. Sad

Hopefully someone else has picked him up

Went looking for Michigan J Frog but didn't find him. Went back a second time, there were people everywhere at lunchtime, but still didn't find him.

Apologies to Tassie Trekkers and to the owner for not having logged the DNF more promptly. Embarassed

Michigan has been let loose in Ulverstone. Could be a wild time on New Years Eve. Trust that he is street wise and avoids cars.

After being "beaten to the jump" this morning, we were very pleased to see Michigan J Frog being released so quickly. So, after a quick bite at the Taste, we headed off and quickly found this frog. Time to head to the North-West we think. TFTF

Michigan and his log has slunk away to a hiding spot with a great view. There are many other frogs along this track, so grab a few.

While wandering around wondering about the accuracy of the coords, a voice calls from a nearby window, and highlights the collection of croakers sitting on the letterbox. Having gathered up the whole lot, I'd better go in search of bathroom fittings (which is why I REALLY left the house (yes really ... frogs had nothing to do with it!)), and then I'll hide them. This agile character is clearly into free-climbing (and tree-climbing).

Collected these two on my way home from work

Went hunting 4 frogs and only found 2 and an old sainted one. Obviously white webs had beaten us to them again.

Anyway here is my log signature

Hi to The Empire
After a long day stuck inside at Huonville, I felt "the need for caching (speed)", a saying from one of my favourite movies "TOP GUN."
So, into the cache mobile and headed for Blackmans Bay first to find "Marcus the Vague"; found at 2038hrs.
From there it was off to the Domain to search for your cache.
Arrived at ground zero full of anticipation and after a small search Michigan J. Frog croaked "Here me go again!" He was enjoying his rest, but it was disturbed at 2109hrs.
Both frogs are now in the car ribbitting on about where they're from, where they've been and where and with who they will travel further.
To you and yours, A MERRY CHRISTMAS, A HAPPY NEW YEAR and above all; a SAFE FESTIVE SEASON.
Cheers OldSaint.

We (geo kid a, geo kid I and myself) did a frog run around Hobart, sorell, Richmond and glenorchy and came up with 12 moveables including 10 frogs, one traffic sign moveable and the touring teddies. Great little get for three and a quarter hours including re hiding all bar two frogs.

Found this cache at 6.19
