Leapfrog Rules (not guidelines)
- Your cache must be a genuine, bone fide frog.
- Your frog may be store bought or hand crafted.
- Caches for the competition must be published on 1 December 2011 Australian Eastern Time (GCA Time)
Geocaching Australia has the facility to automatically publish your cache on 1 December 2011
Please refer to the Geocaching Australia wiki for more information - You are welcome to join the game after it has started provided you list the hidden date and published date as 1 December 2011 and add the word leapfrog to your cache tags
The later you enter your frog the less time there is to get it moving, so you are encouraged to enter the game at the commencement - You are required to add the word leapfrog to the tags on your entry at Geocaching Australia
You can add the word leapfrog to your tags by visiting your cache page and clicking on Tag in the Actions section in the right hand navigation section of your cache page - The game commences at 00:00:00 1 December 2011 AEDST and concludes 23:59:59 31 January 2012 AEDST
- The game administrators decision is final
- You can not find and move your own cache during the game period
- Caches must be found and hidden by the same cacher (i.e. no mailing the cache to another cacher to hide)
- There is no limit to the number of times other cachers can find / move the cache provided there are at least two other finds / moves in between
- If a cacher moves your cache overseas and it remains unfound overseas for 1 week or more, the same cacher may move your cache (within the country or to another country) without breaking the "2 moves" rule
- There is no limit to the distance other cachers can move the cache
- Other cachers in the game may find / move your cache, but they must move it on within 2 days

Oh dear, I've been quite remiss in moving this frog along. After intending a next-day move I discovered I had completely forgot about them and it was stuck in my boot with another Leapfrog and a GeGnome... Then after I finally hid them all together just as I found them (less my own Leapfrog) in a shopping bag, I had forgotten to actually log the move...
I decided to chase down one of my Leapfrogs who was in company with this one.
I made a slight mistake at GZ pulling through a gate and driving up a gravel road - only to realise that this wasn't a road but the trail! I quick u-turn - of course now some muggles came along to witness my stuff up who I had to wait to pass by - then came back down the proper road! Honestly - who puts a wide opening on the street end - with no bollard and no warning signs - but a narrow one down the track when its far too late?!? After having to wait for more muggles who just had to turn up when I was at GZ, and worse the little ones clambered up onto the platform whilst the elders dawdled along as slowly as possible. I walked to the picnic tables nearby and sat down - discovering my next stuff up - I hadn't transfered a query's worth of other local caches to my GPS so my plans for gathering some more smilies from out here was dashed After a wait the muggles had moved off, and although another was packing their bike into their van I moved in and grabbed the exposed shopping bag which thankfully turned out to be the nice collection of ex-racers (all new to me, except my own GGF obviously) I took them all with me and will release them into suburbia possibly tomorrow (err today now), else during the week.
There was no log to sign on this one? (Just a keytag and rusty pathtag - which I desired but presumed was part of the ID for this frog so I left it alone - hoping to pick up a shiny new one from the owner sometime hint hint! nudge nudge!)

Sorry he took a while to leap but has now leaped in the company of a few others all huddled together in a bag.
Time to move on and sed how much further he can get before the race ends. Please?
On my way to replace the cache X, I dropped in on this one and logged it. thanks.

The co-ord's were good but this little fella was hiding a little further afield.
Picked up this morning just before I was blown off the nearby beach.

Coords were spot on according to the hint but there wasn't any frog >> might have moved on.
Hidden a Tassie frog where we found a Victorian one before the trip to Tasmania
Hopped to this spot on this hot day.
Frognapped
A lovely stroll around a muggle filled park! I think we got some strange looks but nobody questioned us!

Since we were in Launceston we decided to go for a wander and deposit some frogs throughout the place.
Found this frog far from where it was placed. It (apparently) hopped into a bag and was put into the NTrailTB and transported to Launceston where it has been partying and seeing in the New Year in comfort at a swank motel room. These partying frogs were given a choice of wine or beer or mixed spirits.....
Once they recover, we will put them back out.

Near a creek but not too near, ready to leap not drink I fear.
We (geo kid a, geo kid I and myself) did a frog run around Hobart, sorell, Richmond and glenorchy and came up with 12 moveables including 10 frogs, one traffic sign moveable and the touring teddies. Great little get for three and a quarter hours including re hiding all bar two frogs.

Ah, so I wonder if this is where I should've been looking for Frogger the other day... anyway, I think this one would freak me out if I chance upon it - a very realistic looking frog!
A Frog By Any Other Name decided to stay in the south. So we found a suitable hiding spot out of the sun where she can rest up before continuing in the race.
Picked up on a frog raid south from the North West. Hopefully we will have a good days frogging. TFTF
Went for a little drive collecting frogs, anyway ended up driving to Claremont, Austin's ferry, cornelian bay and Howrah to find a few. Found all but one that I was looking for and managed a ftf on the way. Thank you to every body that has placed te frogs out. I should have them back out in the morning.

Sorry - now there is a little blue moved arrow on the home page.
This was a move by swampy not a find. we saw him when we got lily but since he's ours we just rewrote his number and left him. He hope someone rescues him soon from his rock cave
Once again this frog jumped in my car and has gone for a ride to where ever the car was going. We made it to Mt Wellington but decided that this frog was going down the hill.
Rehide in a wonderful area that should be conducive to frog mating, since Lily the Frog is moving in. Nice and moist - just what frogs like so they dont get too dried out making tadpoles....

Took the frog from a fellow cachers car. The frog was happy to be on the move again.

Quick find once at GZ. Only cause I picked the right reedy stuff lol. Will move ASAP
He is resting near a small pond that seems to be making him very happy!
Inspector,
I am writing this to explain why I was late to commence my rostered duty of 7am - 4pm on Tuesday 6/12/11.
I woke at my usual time and prepared for work. I then switched on the computer while having my morning coffee and discovered that there were 2 frogs loose in Mount Nelson. At this stage I should point out that I am not a batrachist per se, but these guys needed to be collected.
I located this frog and one other then returned to my usual morning routine and was at best 2 minutes late for the start of me shift.
Thank you for the frog

And now the grof (another name) is hiding under the bush...
This fellow just wouldn't keep still whilst in the NTrailTB.
Move him on soon.

Certainly a realistic frog. Reminds me of a dead cane toad.... Death to the cane toads....

This one has joined his fellow froggies in a frog pond
And another FTFTF for me! (First to find the frog) This one is a bit disconcerting - he waved his legs at me all the way home...
