Description
Green Tree Frog - Frog Cache Race
Green Tree Frog is part of the GCA Great Leap Frog Race between December 1, 2011 until January 31, 2012.
Please help him to fulfil his duty by helping to move him along, sign the log book and log online at Geocaching.com.au
Please move him along ASAP, he is in a race.
Please note this plastic/PVC frog is only small (8cm) thus he blends in and hides well in his surrounds.
The rules of the "Moving Cache Leap Frog Game" are published on the Caching Gamessite, a ladder and map are also available
Logging this cache is easy:
First Step: | Log your find with a 'Found it' log (this will give you your smiley!) | |
Second Step: |
When you have moved the cache to a new location, log a 'Moved' log, adding the new co-ordinates and even a hint in the hint box if you wish.
|
So go for it – this frog is out there waiting for you.

With Mrs80 now able to put on a pair of shoes today was a great opportunity to head out for some serious caching with xambo4u and a great opportunity to finally move on some frogs and gnomes left at our Third Leap event. Enjoy being back in the wild little frog.

I was at the 80 degrees and Edues The 3rd Leap event in Fairfield When I spotted this movable cache sitting patiently for me on the table and ready to be logged. Thanks for the Froggy. Signed the log and moved on.

Discovered at the 3rd Leap event in Melbourne and signed the log - this was the most amount of frogs I've seen in one place since my visit to the Zoo!
Spotted at the 3rd Leap event (GC30M7F).
This was one of a few Frogs on the table but one I had to leave behind for others to move.

Dropped this Green Tree Frog at The 3rd Leap Event.
The owner picked up this frog and checked the GA3960...
realised its his own cache.
Nice meet him and take photo of him with his own frog.

Found this guy with the rest of the frogs and gnomes at the 3rd Leap event. Quite a few people logging this cache physically, so let's hope they all turn into online logs. I left the cache on the table for others to enjoy and I expect someone will take him and move him along.

Found at the 3rd Leap event in amongst a gaggle of moveable caches.
It was a good evening to go to a event and finding a few moveables was a bonus so after arriving at the event I worked my way through the table.
Put back on the table so no move log for me
Thanks mrx02

After a week camping down at Tidal River, I was relaxing, watching the final of the men,s tennis, when up pops a message from lemmykc "Why haven't you found the frogs at the end of your street?".
I hadn't even looked what with unpacking, gear maintenance, home stuff - I must be slipping!
During a break in the tennis I ducked down the 83m to the frogs and quickly found them, and missed only one point in the tennis. I'll have to move them on quickly, only two more days to go.

After checking me email this morning only to find there were two frogs not far from home uploaded them to my GPSr & off i set to do a few chores in & around the area before seeing if they were still there.
Well i got to where my GPSr was pointing to GZ (Middle of the carpark) So out came the hint then it was a quick find & off home.
Will move them soon

Sorry we held onto Green Tree Frog so long, Mrx02 but once it got closer to this weekend we figured we might as well hold on to him and bring him down to Somers with us. He will be a nice easy find in Seawinds which was a Gnome hotspot last year!!!

Dropping off 5 frogs picked up yesterday along this lovely trail. Happy hopping little frog.
I decided to go on a leapfrog hunt on the way home before going out for the night. I had planned to log finds on ten frogs, and was successful on finding them all. On about the third frog I reached down and felt a sharp pain in my right eye. I had spiked it with a leaf of a nearby sword grass plant. Little did I know at that time it was going to be a very long and painful recovery over the next five days. While I was able to manage a cache a day over those days I spent most of my time lying flat with the eye bandaged shut. They don’t call it cacher grass for no reason!! Thanks for the frog!

Dropped off after a first to find attempt - I was already hot so I might as well keep going out in the 40C heat.

29/12/2011 20:50 After a big day out caching with Mr & Mrs iamapom, Sue was still ready to get a cache, so we headed off to "GC33F65 Ode to the Pen" and was stunned to see two frogs here as well. As the cache hide is many meters above the creek level there is very little chance of them ever getting swamped. Collected the frog and have him at home, waiting for a time and place for re-deployment. TFTC TNLN SL

Easy find *FTF* and a good way to get the night started.. time to hit the frog and toad..
Reviewing my stats I discovered a few that had very few logged words regarding the journey. I like to write a bit, and hate reading my caches logs with little of the story. This one was found somewhere and dropped somwhere on a day when we moved frogs via Geelong, Queenscliffe, Newport (ish) and ultimately to Kilkunda. Thanks for the cache and the opportunity to take this one along for the journey. This one like the 15 or soo others ended up at either Avalon Airport or up a tree at Kilkunda.. Fun was had, however like all good story's they must come to an end.. thanks for the frog..
