Description

Poison Dart Frog - leapfrog cache race

Poison Dart Frog is part of the GCA Great Leap Frog Race between December 1, 2011 until January 31, 2012.

Please help him to fulfil his duty by helping to move him along, sign the log book and log online atGeocaching.com.au

Please move him along ASAP, he is in a race.

Please note this plastic/PVC frog is only small (8cm) thus he blends in and hides well in his surrounds.

The rules of the "Moving Cache Leap Frog Game" are published on the Caching Games site, a ladderand map are also available
Logging this cache is easy:
First Step:   Log your find with a 'Found it' log (this will give you your smiley!)

Second Step:
When you have moved the cache to a new location, log a 'Moved' log, adding the new co-ordinates and even a hint in the hint box if you wish.
So go for it – this frog is out there waiting for you.

Wow that is a LOT of caches my BB brought home! I would have gone too but some of us had to go to work. Now my house is full of Gnomes, frogs, Bingos and Angels! I’m going to have to do something about this and start hiding them again before they take over our unit once and for all! Very Happy

Operation: Dawn of War (Clan Phoenix Clan Phoenix Gnomeland Raid)

Cache Condition:
Something should have known better, but stll has tried to eat this frog! Cache log baggy replaced and froggy given a scrub. Ready to hop back to it!

Operation Summary: Leaving Sydney at 4am to reach The Gnomelands by dawn I kicked off the 'The Great Mount Piddington Moveable Challenge' with a raid of freedom to release over 60 moveables from their mountain prison to freedom. 4.5 hours of morning caching saw a good few sack-fulls return with me to Sydney.

The caches have been moved to St Leonards for some TLC and a bath so don’t go looking for them there. They will be released shortly in various locations.

Left in place, waiting for the next cacher.

21-Jun-13
Found on a fourth day forage within the Gnomelands ... fearful of retribution from the Disenchanted Gnomes, taken in hand only for a photo op. Revisit, and there it was, oddly where not looked before. TFTC Very Happy

19-Jun-13
Third day forage within the Gnomelands ... no retribution from the Disenchanted Gnomes, Poison Dart Frog did not appear to be where it ought to be.

Poison Dart Frog has joined with a group of disenchanted Gnomes in the occupation of this tract of land, the aim being to secede from Australia and create their own independent country.
However with Gnomes in charge this may turn into a dictatorship, it remains to see if emmigration is greater than immigration.

22-Apr-13
Poison Dart Frog has joined a mass exodus of moveables led by renegade Gnomes, who knows what they plan to do? They are all in hiding for now while hatching their nefarious plans. No point looking for any of them they are nowhere to be found until they are ready to reveal their ultimate goal.

499. And what a frog hunter. Only started yesterday as they tend to move around too much early in the competition. Perhaps more like a sniper who will sit for hours/days waiting for the take down. Sorry for the waffle (which wouldn't have been too bad if accompanied by ice cream).

TFTF and the tipper.

*FTF* and easy find.. Thanks Darian for the hide.. will move on soon.. what a frogtacular hide..

Reviewing my stats I discovered a few that had very few logged words regarding the journey. I like to write a bit, and hate reading my caches logs with little of the story. This one was found somewhere and dropped somwhere on a day when we moved frogs via Geelong, Queenscliffe, Newport (ish) and ultimately to Kilkunda. Thanks for the cache and the opportunity to take this one along for the journey. This one like the 15 or soo others ended up at either Avalon Airport or up a tree at Kilkunda.. Fun was had, however like all good story's they must come to an end.. thanks for the frog..
