Description
Even though I'm small, I'm powerful enough to hold up major constructions!
The Green & Gold Bell Frogs (Litoria aurea) are probably the most powerful inhabitants of the Shoalhaven. They have been known to hold up new roadworks for 20+ years (and counting) and to cause highway deviations. This delightful specimen is enjoying his bush outlook, knowing he is well protected by his friends.
Please move him on quickly, especially during the Leap Frog race during December/January, so that he can enjoy and protect other bushland areas.
Rules of the game:-
- Your cache must be a genuine, bone fide frog.
- Your frog may be store bought or hand crafted.
- You are welcome to join the game after it has started provided you list the hidden date and published date as 1 December 2011 and add the word leapfrog to your cache tags
The later you enter your frog the less time there is to get it moving, so you are encouraged to enter the game at the commencement - You are required to add the word leapfrog to the tags on your entry at Geocaching Australia
You can add the word leapfrog to your tags by visiting your cache page and clicking on Tag in the Actions section in the right hand navigation section of your cache page - The game commences at 00:00:00 1 December 2011 AEDST and concludes 23:59:59 31 January 2012 AEDST
- The game administrators decision is final
- You can not find and move your own cache during the game period
- Caches must be found and hidden by the same cacher (i.e. no mailing the cache to another cacher to hide)
- There is no limit to the number of times other cachers can find / move the cache provided there are at least two other finds / moves in between
- If a cacher moves your cache overseas and it remains unfound overseas for 1 week or more, the same cacher may move your cache (within the country or to another country) without breaking the "2 moves" rule
- There is no limit to the distance other cachers can move the cache
- Other cachers in the game may find / move your cache, but they must move it on within 2 days
Logs
This cache appears to be MIA so have been archived to stop it showing up in the lists and queries. If the cache is resurrected the owner can lodge an "Unachived" log against it to bring it back to life.
The coords had me at a likely spot but on checking the likely spots I couldn't find the frog. Re-reading the last log it seems it may be a little away from the coords but without a hint, it's going to be hard to find.
FlyingPigSquadron has landed! Hopefully froggy will enjoy the view of the Eagles Nest along the Bunurong trail in Gippsland and get picked up and moved on shortly

Dropped with some friends in a nice little park overlooking a lake.

Watching the cricket this morning and I got that lovely beep letting me know that there were new caches (or moveables) in the area. Quick check showed some lovely frogs had come for a visit. Geoson, get your gear together for swimming lessons, we are off. Oops, hang on - got to watch Sehwag get out first. Right, NOW let's go!!
On arrival in a familiar park, geoson took point and had the frog in hand before I even got to the hiding spot. A good thing as I don't think I would have picked this one up. I hate live frogs.
Thanks for the frog
Cheers.

Out to do some frog hunting today (GCA) , the 1st Anniversary of us learning of Geocaching.
Had to look a little harder than I first thought at this spot. As froggy hopped out of my grasp. So after dismantling the sign that he was hiding inside of! He was finally in the car ready to start hopping off to find some new mates!

I've provided the correct coords in my moved log now. I had pointed Rogue to the wrong location. Apologies and please return for another look.
Hrmph
Found the obvious hiding place, but it was empty. Must have been beaten to it...

Now in WA.
EDIT : The coords have been updated and the hint as well. I had a transcription error which pointed to the wrong corner. So sorry.

Handed this trouble maker over to fluffyfish after picking up three moveables from a well known address - more traffic up this way to bring to a halt. I did hear a politician complaining on the radio about the extra cost involved in protecting this species - something about them being in plague proportions. (Oh me of little brain).
I actually set the alarm for 12 o'clock but it was raining so turned it off. Found the track head & after a few anxious moments, found the frog. A perfect environment. Whilst frog hunting in the Illawarra met Wilbert & fluffyfish & after a group photograph, moved on. Whoops - FTF.
