Description
Competitor in the Leapfrog Race
A moveable cache.
Placed as part of the Leapfrog game from December 1 2011 to January 31 2012. After this time please just keep it moving.
Hi my name is Galoomph. There are four of these caches in our series, this one (Galoomph) has been placed by my 13yr old daughter (others placed by my son, wife and me). She hopes to see it travel further than the others and be photographed in as many places as possible.
Hope you enjoy looking for this one, can't wait to see the photos of his escapaeds.
P.S I like being near water, preferably with the green theme (either place name, street, or just a green location).
Logs
We are currently touring Victoria with our geovan in tow, using geocaching as a guide. We have visited many amazing locations through geocaching and today our journey bought us to Beechworth. Although it has been over 4 years since Galoomph has been found we thought we would have a look. Unfortunately we could not find him.
Tassie Trekkers are now a locationless geocache we have published a 'Geocacher cache' - Travelling Trekkers GA10932 - so if you spot us in your area sign our log book and receive a code word to earn yourself a We were one of the lucky teams to receive a pathtag from Geocaching Australia for publishing a "Geocacher Cache" - thanks Geocaching Australia.
We are on our way to the Alexandra Event which is happening on the eighteenth to the nineteenth of November 2017 hope to see you there.
Have you joined a clan? Enhance your geocaching experience by joining a clan and being a part of the Dragon Zone. Choose a team Gold - Griffin, Green - Phoenix, Blue - Cerberus or Orange - Minotaur. Earn trophies and rise through the ranks from Dragon Fodder to Ruler of the Universe.
********************This lengthy log is because we are currently working towards a trophy for "I write treatises for a living" - Average 150 or more words per valid dragonZone geocache find log or did not find log excluding geocaches that you own. Slowly getting there********************
Galoomph is back in the wild

This awesome little fella was left at the Purpledreamer Memorial Birthday event in Wangaratta Vic. We have placed it our TB hotel for all to find. Thanks for coming for a visit Mr Frog!

Dropped off at a GC event to commemorate the late PurpleDreamer. RIP.
Found near the Hume highway under a safe rock. As he had company I didn't want to disturb him!

Joins Finnegan under the boulder at the Mittagong Transfer Station.
Had intended to head down the coast early but strong Nor Westers delayed my departure. Then at eleven the winds stopped so I headed off. Found this plus four others, for a 300Ks round trip. The winds picked up on the way back but from the South West. Insufficient rain though to wash the UAV.

was going to save this little fellow but gave up. left a friend nearby, so future finders can have two!
Found on our trip down to Narooma. A nice easy find in a nice area. We left the frog there in it's place. Thanks!

He's near water (a drain) adjacent to a Batemans Bay cemetery.
Met Black Bunny & JAC at Berry & took possession of 5 moveables, this being one. Also discovered 22 in transit so a successful meeting.

A quick grab with Just a cacher and Candy Cane 101 on a run up to Sydney to catch up with blossom* and Strike a Light. A pub dinner was called for and an impromptu Frog gathering occured. After all frogs had been fed and watered it was time for them to hop off.
Thanks for the frog Gradem

Off to the pub for dinner with some friends and a looooong trip to Canberra
Found 'Galoomph' with a number of his Mates waiting for a lift to Canberra, let's hope it will be a smooth and painless !operation. Quite the gathering there all those Frogs do get a bit vocal when competing for attention.

I headed off this evening to meet Galoomph and there was still plenty of light. As I arrived at GZ, my heart sank as there were heaps of really spikey clumps all along the path. So I searched...and searched. Then the light faded and I searched a bit more. Then it got quite dark and I used the "light" from the gps to search some more. I looked under every spikey clump for quite a distance along the path and got spiked by most of the clumps. As I was just about to give up, somehow I looked into the middle of a spikey clump and there he was Some with me young Galoomph!

Galoomph jumped out of the car not far from 'bottom of the bay' and decided to stay for a bit
Found at the Froggytastic ZEAMMAFF Event on the 3rd Jan...and Galoomph decided to come for a ride as he was full of food and all froggied out, will move on soon
Found at the fabulous ZEAMMAFF Event! at Concord West, NSW!
Lots and lots and lots of Leapfrogs and gnomes in attendance! It turned out to be a great day for all Leapfrog and Gnome lovers, a great event with great people attending, we all had a ball.
Thanks to Zal for making it all happen!

This (and his matching couterpart) was one of many frogs (as well as a few gnomes) that came along to boot Zalgariath back to Europe at ZEAMMAFF. Things were really hopping as more and more frogs arrived during the afternoon, by the time the event had finished, over 55 movables had hopped onto the table. Of course, with that many frogs hopping around in one place, something was bound to happen, and one poor gnome was bumped to the ground, requiring a trip to gnome hospital and a serious stay there, but the less said about that the better.
Galoomph has heard about the event in Bicentennial park and is keen to go!
Galoomph has done a pretty good tour around Sydney, seeing lots of sights. I'll have to find another spot for him to visit
'Galoomph' liked this tree hole so much he insisted on moving in straight away. He is now well settled and waiting for his next cacher.
'Galoomph' and I have met before so I knew what to expect and did he so we were both glad of the reunion. promises of a new location only improved the deal.

A nice quick find at Warrimoo in the Blue Mountains. I will place these in Hazelbrook before tomorrow night.
Moved this guy as far east as I could, almost to Blaxland!
I suspect he'll be picked up again soon . . .

'Galoomph' has moved to historic Bowenfels not far from the old railway station (now disused). He did express an interest in this sort of thing with some of his mates, they had a great all night party before being picked up.
'Galoomph - Leapfrog' was trying very hard not to be seen, but I knew where to look and he gave up quietly and decided that a train trip up the mountains was not that bad after all.

Galoomph came for a walk in Parramatta Park to meet some other frogs. When we got to Brains, he was so frightened that he ran off into the bushes and wouldn't some out.
Galoomph came back as he heard there was likely to be a froggy party here tonight
Galoomph has joined the frog migration to Ryde tonight
Found him in bed with another frog shall move him on

Dropped off Galoomph on an afernoon frog hunt.

Looking at GCA website.. I realised that I found this frog at the Bifrost site. At that time thinking it was actually THE Bifrost
As this was our very first GCA find it's worth logging, even if it happened way back.

Galoomph liked the look of the pond here so he's hiding under the bridge. Be aware he is NOT the GC.com cache 'Bifrost' http://coord.info/GC38N6K
He's behind the post at the start of the bridge. While your there see if you can find Bifrost! Good luck.

Found Galoomph ("went the little green frog last night") next to a dodgy looking gnome in Quarry Rd, Dural. Replaced with two small frogs.
He loves to chat so left him with a freind
Yes, I must get on to a bit of weeding, I almost missed Galoomph in all the greenery!

Another bit of greenery provided by the local daisy bush and a fair bit of wandering dew
Galoomph was certainly amongst the greenery when I found him. He sure blends in well!! I take him along for a ride and see where he'd like to stop off.
Dropped off on my way to the station this morning. Not the original frog swap location, but a more secluded one since this frog is a bit bigger than many racing.
Grabbed on my way back to Perth from Bunbury. Time for this fella to test out the strength of his hopping legs and see how far he really can go.

Frog raid #8.
After leaping around the far north I returned to the home territory as there had been reports of frogs this side of the river.
Thanks for the cache.

Galoomph leapt from my grasp as I was entering this park, I was heading towards the water for him but he heard the cheerful calling of relatives and off he went to hide in the trees. Good luck into frog.
