A sad and sorry end to this little guy. Unfortunatley to suffered from lack of water and EXTREME heat. Sad

21-Jan-13
I've had this one's companion (Macca's Mover) on my anonymous watch list (grey matter) so decided to go for a long drive to see how it fared in the recent bushfire. As I suspected not very well. A little blob of melted sistema, a spring & some plasticy ash. Took a photo for prosperity then left the remains on top of the rock which has been burnt black like everything else. Time to archive as nothing remains.

10-Jan-13
The Dean's Gap bushfire went right through where I left this little guy, I doubt he survived Crying or Very sad

Moved 114.97km
Resting under a tree in a park named in honour of a pony. (Everything is green & there is a duck pond nearby so well catered for).

23-Aug-12
Had intended to head down the coast early but strong Nor Westers delayed my departure. Then at eleven the winds stopped so I headed off. Found this plus four others, for a 300Ks round trip. The winds picked up on the way back but from the South West. Insufficient rain though to wash the UAV.

Was trying to find Galoomph (i just put it down to sheer cache blindness. This is what happens when you dont go caching for a month..), couldnt find him...but It's not easy being green wanted to hang around, to see if he was still there!! It's practically a 2 for 1 deal here!

25-Jul-12
Sorry i've still got this one...fractured ankle = not physically possible to rehide him!! Sad

I had planned to take this froggy to the Oz Mega, but he got left behind... I think he hid from me on purpose, because he'd heard that there were going to be so many cachers, gnomes and other frogs there, and he really is a shy frog at heart. That said, he was happy to have the company of the Lunchbox Frog at the Isaacs PO - perhaps it was the promise of being fed?? Safe travels...

01-Apr-12

Hi Gradem
This croaker had avoided me until today.
I.E. Other cachers had been too fast for me until now.
Pleasantly surprised to find another leap-frogger with him when I got there.
Found this ribbetting pair at 1623hrs.
From here, down the hill for three more.

Found this frog and many others during a frog raid encompassing The Domain, Howrah, South Hobart and Mount Stuart.
In all, 47 frogs and a gnome were recovered and they will be placed out in the bush tomorrow. Maybe we'll take them to Cockle Creek, NO. Strathgordon or the old Hilton Hotel at Adamsfield! YES. They are good places.

Found this cache and rescued from a fate worse than death : a trip to the mainland of Australia. Actually found a large group of frogs that had been surrounding the event at the beltana on Friday night.

Thanks for the frog

Mr Frog jumped out of the pond one day
And found himself in the rain
Said he, "I'll get wet and I might catch a cold."
So he jumped in the pond again.

Found a lush area. At the start of the track. Many choices of where to go from here.

12-Jan-12
So he hadn't been picked up by someone else. Was able to pop back today for another look - I couldn't believe what a good hide it was. The fellow isn't small and he blended so perfectly that even when I poked and prodded around the tree roots i just didn't see him. But he wasn't getting away again. He went jaunting around Mt Wellington with me - including to the top where we got a snap before I found a place for him to get out and stretch his flippers at a more leisurely pace.

11-Jan-12
Couldn't see this one.

08-Jan-12

We didn't know which frog this was when we did the pickup from JABS' party. Luckily we placed him pretty much with a water view - as requested! Oops, got our frogs mixed up -sorry all.

08-Jan-12
This frog also jumped into our car as we pulled up at JABs letterbox - so he went in search of a new place to stay with us.

Was in Launceston on work and decided to drive back via the east coast to visit my parents. Collected this frog on the way.

Anyway, a new log signature, and one anyone who saw play school as a kid would know.

And found himself in the rain
Said he, "I'll get wet and I might catch a cold."

geo kid a, geo kid i and myself left at 5.21 on a frog raid to north west, and north tasmania. our goal was simple, to liberate the frogs from this region and bring them to civilisation Smile

we were successful though most of the north west, only missing a few frogs that had been captured by local cachers on the previous day.

In all we liberated over 25 frogs back to below the border - or at least the imaginary mason dixon line.......

all frogs will be released back to the wild tomorrow.

Anyway here is my log signature

Was heading to Latrobe for some Christmas shopping so decided to pick up this group of languishing frogs and give them a ride. No need to even turn on the GPS, just identified the hiding spots by the hints and Google maps, so we had collected up four frogs in no time...

But a week went by with no finds

"It's Not Easy Being Green" is hiding in a favourite place of the CEyres near the Wilmot River. Enjoy your search, enjoy the views, the river and the facilities.
The frog is with two friends as an incentive to come and visit so she is not left alone for too long.

08-Dec-11
Hooray, a short gap in the hectic end of year schedule to check if any Leapfrog caches are close by! Hooray there is one right close to our favorite beach (i.e. closest) and the hiding place is somewhere where REyre knows well having built the castle for her own princess. So we hopped into car and drove down the hill, leapt out of the car and rustled over to the hide to discover that we were successful. Hooray Rose is happy, and it is easy to be Green. Thanks for the fun.

While talking to Warts and All in the garden It's not easy being green discovered that one of the Tasmanian Frog princesses had her own castle and expressed a desire to visit it. He was sorry Princes5 would not be at home. He didn't think there were frog castles on the mainland. He hopped out of the cache mobile and onto the castle roof. After basking in the sun he hopped inside and closed the drawbridge to wait for the next cacher.
