Description

Flynn Frog is a member of the Frog Army conducting water surveys throughout Australia during December 2011 to January 2012.

To log this cache find Flynn Frog and move him to another water hole and publish his new location.

Help Flynn conduct his survey by moving him on quickly so he can gather information on the water resources of the land.

Rules (not guidelines)

·         Your cache must be a genuine, bone fide frog. It may be store bought or hand crafted.

·         Caches for the competition must be published on 1 December 2011 Australian Eastern Time (GCA Time).
Geocaching Australia has the facility to automatically publish your cache on 1 December 2011.
Please contact an administrator if you would like to know how to accomplish this.

·         The game commences at 00:00:00 1 December 2011 AEST and concludes 23:59:59 31 January 2012 AEST.

·         The game administrators decision is final.

·         You can not find and move your own cache during the game period

·         Caches must be found and hidden by the same cacher (i.e. no mailing the cache to another cacher to hide)

·         There is no limit to the number of times other cachers can find / move the cache provided there are at least two other finds / moves in between

·         If a cacher moves your cache overseas and it remains unfound overseas for 1 week or more, the cache mover may move your cache back to the country of origin without breaking the "2 moves" rule

·         There is no limit to the distance other cachers can move the cache

·         Other cachers in the game may find / move the cache, but they must move it on within 2 days

On a Mountain Day adventure in the mountains today and paused here to find a moveable that looks a lot like Santa. I left 2 other moveables behind.

This morning I took a walk in the rainforest
up in the heights of Goonelabah.
There I uncovered Flynn the frog
and gave him a seat in my old car.

There's a large expanse in inland New South Wales
where there's plenty of water to test
I've been considering travelling south that way
but I've been told it might not be best.

Either way Flynn is ready to roll
and roll on it shall tomorrow
Come scorching heat, flooding rains,
rain, hail or even snow.

Photo: One of the other folks I picked up today seems to have given Flynn a scare.

Flynn Frog has found the perfect spot to continue his research into water resources. He is located in a tranquil arboretum beside a nice little creek. New friends are welcoming Flynn with a rousing chorus of croaks and chirrups. Thanks for the company.

I visited Schusters Park on the Gold Coast on the last day of Blitz 2021. I was amazed that the park was filled with movables. I found Zone of the Dragon under the toilet block and moved onwards past the pond to look for Flynn Frog. I read the hint and brought out my plastic shovel to dig in the termite eaten wood and sticks. I moved around to the back of the tree to search some more. I spotted a small yellow circle and when I tried to pull Flynn Frog free I was surprised to see that he was a rather large frog. Flynn croaked that he was very happy to be free to move to a new location to continue his research on water resources. Thanks Black Bunny for the movable.

Called in to Samboo Park today to see how my froggy and dinosaur friends were going. Flynn said he was fine.

He's happy to keep waiting for a lift.

After several days 'resting' at our house, Flynn was eager to get out 'on the road' again. We took him to Samboo (well the council calls it Schuster Park, but I know its really my park because I have lots of caches there).

I am sure Flynn is going to be happy here until someone comes to pick him up. His hiding spot is right opposite the 'swamp' in the middle of the park. I am sure there will be friends for him to hang out with and certainly plenty of bugs to eat. Apparently the bugs at my house were not tasty enough. I don't know about that since I prefer chocolate to insects.

Good lucky Flynn Frog.

Hello Flynn Frog, welcome to the Gold Coast.

I think I have the perfect spot to rehide you. Just wait for the moved log to find out.

Found this moveable, as well as a swag of other ones between Casino and Lismore NSW - Never before have so many moveable caches appeared in my local area, so I took a drive and picked them all up. There's a few other cachers that I'm sure will love to see them too, so I'll share the love around and then they'll soon be on their way to their next location. Thanks for hiding this one!

Saw these pop up in Belconnen, ACT and since I needed to get out of the house I did an evening run to find these caches (but not move them). I agree that particular spot - usually quite a good one given the access - is getting a bit yuk - maybe more of a meeting point these days.
Thanks for putting out the movable for me to enjoy this find evening.

The tub at the drop off point was broken and damp inside so will need to be replaced (we left the TB's in a plastic bag).

NOTE TO CO: This cache can be reactivated (re-published) as it is still findable.

With a day off and an event in ‘The Rock’ plus pre-geocaching lead to a great day out. I also got a FTF on the cache ‘Break the Drive – Urana’ (GA12529). Big Grin I started out with collecting the finds around Urana which included the most disgusting cache I have ever found (GC3BDFX). [xx(]Twisted[xx(]Twisted I completely disapprove of that cache and hope to never see a hide like that ever again. [xx(]Twisted[xx(]Twisted I visited a few different spots around and I enjoyed the ‘Leap year 2020 at The Rock’ event hosted by B&MG. A great BBQ and many geo-conversations were had by all. There were also many GCA moveable caches signed while we were there. TB visit on all caches. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found and for allowing them to bring joy to me and the rest of the caching community. Big Grin TFTE and TFTC’s Big Grin

We were on our way back from the shops with the kids being seriously noisy in the back of the car so my suggestion of a stop for a play was accepted even though it was getting a bit cold. After a quick play I took one geokid to look for the three frogs still here. Grabbed quickly by 6yo geokid using the hint. Thanks Black Bunny for the frog. I'll move across town soon.

My Thursday morning walk partner needed to change to Tuesday for our walk around here and only had time for 2 laps instead of 4 and then some searching time for all the frogs here. Unfortunately I didnt have the GPS with me, only my smart phone that wasnt being very smart so we could only find one frog before a Mothers Group turned up in the car-park and went about changing nappies. We stood around chatting for 10 mins then my friend had to go and I waited another few minutes but they were still there not in any hurry at all!! So I gave up and will come back with GPS if they are still here later in the week.

I decided to go on a leapfrog hunt on the way home before going out for the night. I had planned to log finds on ten frogs, and was successful on finding them all. On about the third frog I reached down and felt a sharp pain in my right eye. I had spiked it with a leaf of a nearby sword grass plant. Little did I know at that time it was going to be a very long and painful recovery over the next five days. While I was able to manage a cache a day over those days I spent most of my time lying flat with the eye bandaged shut. They don’t call it cacher grass for no reason!! Thanks for the frog!

I was very happy to see five frogs in a row in a park just near the pickup location for e-facit. All I had to do was wait for her to call me to request a pickup! The call finally came and after picking e-facit up we used the opportunity for her to add some minutes to her learners book. Arrived near GZ and after parking we decided to start with this frog and work our way south. I had visited this specific spot earlier for another frog so checked the hide and found this guy!. It's such a good choice that I decided to leave the Sistema Twins for another cacher to find.
