Description
A Leag Frog cache plus raising awareness of Autism Spectrum Disorders
One of 3 frogs in the 2011/2012 Leag Frog GCA race. The communication frog is characterised by having his feet over his mouth. Communcation is identified in the ASD Triad of Impairment. Often people with ASD have trouble communicating. Sometimes this is verbal expression, sometimes it is understanding what people are saying. Just because a person with ASD is quite verbal, often there is an underlying problem with that person understanding the communcation of others.
- Caches must be found and hidden by the same cacher (i.e. no mailing the cache to another cacher to hide)
- There is no limit to the number of times other cachers can find / move the cache provided there are at least two other finds / moves in between
- If a cacher moves your cache overseas and it remains unfound overseas for 1 week or more, the same cacher may move your cache (within the country or to another country) without breaking the "2 moves" rule
- There is no limit to the distance other cachers can move the cache
- Other cachers in the game may find / move your cache, but they must move it on within 2 days

Logs
After rather a long recuperation ASD Frog has finally mended and is ready to start its tour of Tasmania. Happy travels.
Planning for this trip began in June - we knew we would be heading to Adelaide but which way would we go? This depended on our targets. We looked at our list of unclaimed Dragon Zone trophies and picked out several that we could feasibly collect the required number of finds to qualify for the trophy. We then had to identify caches that would meet our targets and from here it was time to plan a route that would take us past the caches we had identified. Any caches too far off our route were discarded and replaced by suitable alternatives.
All was running smoothly until the Christmas in July game was announced. We would be travelling in the latter part of the game. It was difficult to include this in our target caches as we did not know what was required. Once the game began and we understood what we needed to do we could then add other caches to the target list.
We were just getting our heads, yes all four of them, around this when more Dragon Zone trophies were added. Which ones could we meet and which should we ignore? Do we need to add more GA caches and/or do we need to change our route and our targets? We decided on our target list and then our route and timeline. We had just drawn a line under everything and were about to begin printing our caching booklets, route maps and target lists when caught@work published 23 new caches on the Western Ring Path. Earlier we had decided on the caches in the Edgewater Walk series. If we added the new ones on the Western Ring Path and as many of the CCC series as possible, we could probably reach the required number of caches to qualify for the Dragon Zone trophies “Restraining Order Stalker” (Find 100 DZ caches hidden by the same cacher) and “Obsession!=Insanity” (find 50 DZ caches in a day). As the latter would give us our first Blaze Trophy, it was decided to alter everything to include the CCC series.Four Fun, in South Australia published five puzzle caches that would bring good points in the Christmas in July game. Can we solve the puzzles? A few more adjustments to the route and the caches to find list and we would be off.
Having successfully completed our Melbourne challenges and gained our first Blaze Dragon Zone trophy it was time to focus on the Christmas in July game. We started on the Kenneth Stirling Conservation Park puzzle caches recently published by Four-Fun. With Four-Fun's puzzles found, several of J_&_J's puzzles found and the Christmas in July game over it was time to focus on completing the requirements for a few more Dragon Zone Trophies.
When we knew that there was a possibility that we would have a break from grand parent duties we had planned this slight detour so that we could find both GA and GC caches that would meet the requirements for several Dragon Zone trophies and several GC challenge caches in several states. As we had already visited all states and territories except Western Australia this year it was time for us to hop on a plane and head for Perth, Western Australia.
When we were at home we had noticed that Lazarus68 had been collecting moveable caches during a recent visit to the eastern states. We wondered if Lazarus would be back in the west by the time we visited and if we would have an opportunity to find the moveables that were in his care. So, we contacted Lazarus and the stars did align. We made arrangements to visit and we were able to log finds on quite a few moveable caches. Many thanks Lazarus68 for making these caches available for our visit. In turn, we left another ten moveables in the area which are also now in the care of Lazarus68.

Always fun finding your own moveable after years. Not sure whether to archive or not. Stay tuned.
Found the cache co located with a couple of other moveables, cool three for one. GZ was hard to pin down as the GPS was jumping around, doesn't help when your in a valley with steep granite hills on each side. Thanks for the cache, will drop off in another location shortly.

Let me start by saying sorry for keeping this one in captivity for so long (approx 450 days). After moving houses, this guy along with 2 others had been packed in a box they probably shouldn't have been and in the process went missing for a while. Whilst looking for something unrelated I came across this one and his 2 mates and they were very happy to see me knowing that they would soon be back out on the road moving around and meeting others. He is now hanging out with his 2 buddy's in a beautiful spot near the river, a nice stroll from Bells Rapids. Again my apologies for the extended stay with me but he is now back out ready to be found again.
I was out dropping off another movable here whilst checking my cache & hadn't checked online to see if there was anything else here. To my surprise this little one was hiding here with a couple of friends so I decided to pick them up whilst I was here.
Dropped of in a nice country location.
We grabbed this little froggy, will move him on soon .

Belated logging of one of the many frogs that had invaded Albury for the Oz Mega event - they all seemed to be having a fantastic time together, catching up on the froggy news and sharing the many stories of their adventures over the last few months.

Spotted at the mega with the rest of the army. I'm sure this guy found some companions here.
'Communication' has jumped out of the bag and before I could stop him, got himself hid.
Spotted at the Blackheath frog party - where frogs far outnumbered the humans. TFT
ASD Communication was in attendance at the Blackheath, NSW gathering. There were lots of other frogs (and gnomes) there too, enjoying the Blue Mountains.
No doubt he'll have many more kilometres to travel . . .
Left him on the table for others to take on the transport duties.
Bon voyage, ASD Communication!

Nice find today among all the Frogs, Gnomes and others over 70 participants as well as the odd human, some of them very odd indeed!
Many Frogs and Gnomes went to Canberra and who knows where from there, and many stayed to be relocated around the Sydney area very soon.

I've got this one. There was a magnificent sunset I was going to photograph after picking this up. Once back at the car my GPS went from day to night mode indicating that the sun had set and it was dead on. The sunset had gone from magnificent to mediocre in a matter of 2 minutes.
We've done a fair bit of searching for this little bloke - if only we knew we only needed to wait for the event where he would turn up to meet us! TFTF Fluffyfish.
Noticed this little fellow at the todays event.
