Description

2011/12 Moving Cache Race Entrant.

2011/12 Moving Cache Race Entrant "Leapfrog".

Lunchbox Frog is a lunchbox (funny, that).

Lunchbox Frog has two parts.  His inner, white part has a really good seal, so the log book lives in there.  The other, green part is pretty good, too, so the swaps will be in that bit.

Lunchbox Frog is bright green, so he should be easy to spot in most situations.

Lunchbox Frog likes to eat.  Take him on a picnic, show him the nearest cafe, entertain him in the poshest restaurant in town - whatever takes your fancy.

Take a swap, and feed him something in return.  He is always happy.

Lunchbox frog isn't going to win this race - he is too weighed down from all that yummy food.  He is, however, going to have a lot of fun roaming around, seeing new places and eating something at all of them!

25-May-13
Thanks for trying, 2y'sTassies!

25-May-13
After a day of mowing, pruning fruit trees and burning the offcuts we decided there was time to look for a few moveables. There were three that were within 20m of each other and we headed off. Unfortunately we found only one of the three - from the amount of mud and debris, it appears that a flood had been through the area. This is one of the caches that we didn't find despite searching for about 20 minutes at GZ and for a radius of about 10m. THe previous logged showed that the cache had been moved to this location on 28/1/13. Looks like this one has gone or we are suffering from a bad case of cache blindness.

Nice find today among all the Frogs, Gnomes and others over 70 participants as well as the odd human, some of them very odd indeed!
Many Frogs and Gnomes went to Canberra and who knows where from there, and many stayed to be relocated around the Sydney area very soon.

12-Feb-12
Found at an impromptu Frog and Gnome party in the Blue Mountains.

A great number of frogs, gnomes and other moveables gathered to swap tales of their life on the road.

Thanks for the Frog

12-Feb-12

Fortunately, Just a Cacher brought something for lunch -- so Lunchbox Frog was safe!

He travelled down from Lithgow just to attend our Blackheath gathering.

Now he'll no doubt travel onwards towards Canberra . . .

Bon voyage, Lunchbox!

12-Feb-12
Spotted at the Blackheath frog party - where frogs far outnumbered the humans. TFT Ribbit

'Lunchbox Frog' has made a short stopover in Leura to meet the local cacher. He will arrange for further travel up the mountains where all the Frogs and Gnomes will assemble for the big party Sunday!
Don't go looking for him he has gone.

09-Feb-12
'Lunchbox Frog' does not seem to be the worse for wear after the humongous party all the Frogs had, they were all very quiet as I bundled them into the back pack. Well there was no way I was going to pay for all those train tickets!

09-Feb-12
Moved 13.42km
After a very enjoyable party, I sent all the frogs packing and they're waiting here for rogerw3 to arrange their next adventure Ribbit

05-Feb-12
'Lunchbox Frog' was glad to see me to get some breakfast after a night roughing it!
He will not be staying here very long, he already misses civilization.

04-Feb-12
Moved 30.45km

Yep. This little froggie has gone to Lithgow, same as many, many other little froggies . . .

Don't think he'll stay here long, but you never know.

Over the past few months, not many have remained near Clwydd unless they were in dire need of hospitalisation . . .

04-Feb-12

The things you see, hopping up the Great Western Highway!

Glad to see this little feller again, and quickly signed his log book.

Think he's going on a trip further west . . .

04-Feb-12
Moved 62.23km
After a pleasant trip up the mountains,'Lunchbox Frog' wanted off and was quite happy to meet another cacher who will take him further along.
Don't go looking for him he has already gone.

04-Feb-12
This one was an easy find in the end, the new updated co-ords did the trick. It became obvious that the previous co-ords led me (and other cachers I think) to look on the wrong side of the creek.
In any case there he was waiting patiently for a lift to new vistas.

02-Feb-12
Moved 0.03km
Let's try again, I went and retook the coords with the real GPS this afternoon.

As you head towards the bush from the carpark stay just left of the little copse of bush. Ahead and just before the bush starts is a rough barked tree with a large branch that has snapped off. Enter the bush here and the clump of pines is off to your left at about 45 degrees.

31-Jan-12
Couldn't find anything to match the hint so maybe the coords are a bit off. Couldn't spend too long looking; there were others to log.

31-Jan-12
Went back today but could not find this poor Froggy, it would seem that he is gone, or perhaps the co-ords need adjusting, i checked up to 20 metres from GZ and nothing to be found.

31-Jan-12
No, I can't see anything at all that looks like a group of piney trees near here.

30-Jan-12
Unfortunately I could not find this Froggy, I found GZ to be nowhere close to piney type trees, I assume Casuarina. I did find a small multi trunk one but no frog anywhere near it.
There has been evidence of water running at the base of this tree, I can only hope I was in the wrong spot.

29-Jan-12
Moved 7.98km
This froggie hopped with me down to Parramatta Park. I was going to leave it where I found another but it was too big so I had to find a new spot. Coords should be fairly good despite being taken with the phone. It's nuzzled down in the base of a multitrunked piney set of trees.

28-Jan-12
Another new frog I get to meet. Fun diversions on the way to a shopping trip!

27-Jan-12
Moved 0.9km
Lunchbox Frog headed off to Meadowbank Park for a night out wiht a few friends

23-Jan-12
I had hoped Lunchbox Frog had brought a bit of lunch back in her box but I think she must have eaten it all herself! Is she getting fatter???

23-Jan-12
Moved 93.47km
'Lunchbox Frog' has taken a liking to train travel and wanted to do it again so off we went back to Sydney with all his mates. Who knew Frogs liked train travel that much?
Don't go looking for him he has been taken already.

22-Jan-12
'Lunchbox Frog' found his way to Lithgow, he enjoyed the train trip very much so much so in fact that he now wants to do it again tomorrow in reverse and go back to the Big Smoke just for the fun of it. Who am I to deny any Frog yet another train trip to Sydney.
I am sure he will be welcomed by one and all (eventually!).

I put out a mini froggy fire trail, but these things don't last long these days I think someone got the jump.

14-Jan-12
I was planning on coming out to get this frog and then a frog power trail appeared and so I went out to grab it. Just as I pulled up I got an email saying that the first one was found, so I dashed up to the last one only to find it gone too. So back to my original plan to grab this cache and another. On the way home it occurred to me that the person who grabbed the power trail might have left a frog or two that they had already found and what do you know there were two. So a haul of 4 frogs isn't bad.

14-Jan-12
Moved 2.75km
