Description

Acts of Gord - Top Gun Anthem

Ok, dont go and start giving me a hard time, its just that for some reason standing here at this location, this is the music I have playing in my mind, you know the tune, an electric guitar solo, meandering on to "The Danger Zone". Everyone would have to agree this is an inspirational piece of music...... right????

I had an old bloke I met while finding Tom Swans show me this place, and it really blew me away. This old fellow told me how he is out walking every weekend, has been doing so since the 70's. He tells me that this is one of his favourite spots in the valley.  It really is an awesome view - I agree 100%!!!

Makes me think of the saying that "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take - But the moments that take our breath away"

Hah, an apt link if I ever did say.

Is a couple of k's walk from the end of Swans Rd, and worth every inch. Some climbing is required to retreive the cache, so some agility is reqiured.

The Cache is a 30ml Ammo Can, with a FTF prize and several swaps.

Took this one in on the way back from the others to the south - probably a good decision as the rain had mostly stopped by the time I got here.
Wonderful view - and VERY windy! Spent a few minutes leaning against the breeze and admiring the hills flecked with acacia in bloom before starting to look about....
A few minutes later I had eliminated nearly all the possible places nearby - except the one I didn't want to try with wet rocks and driving northerly.... But I had earlier discovered that g_ordo's GPSr gives exactly the same positions as mine and this was confirmed again after I didn't find the cache in places further away...
It wasn't very comfortable and I felt the wind very keenly but I did reach it and accepted the FTF prize. On a warm summer's day I expect it would be somewhat easier!
Thanks for the expedition g_ordo, had a great time today.

Another cache of what is most likely to be several throughout the Lerdy State Park, enjoy.

Cheers Gordo
