Paperbark ][ - Caroline Springs Walk

Getting out and about is all this series of geocache is about.

Caroline Springs, just 25km west of Melbourne is a thriving community with a great trail of paths and walkways between the artificial lakes, ponds and creeks. Set in 800 hectares of grazing land Caroline Springs was developed on greenfield land since starting in 1999. At the north of the suburb is the town square and main shopping centre known as CS Square, and a man-made lake known as Lake Caroline. This series of geocaches takes you along some of the lesser-known pathways around various creeks and waterways on the edge of Caroline Springs.

The cache you seek is a 200ml Sistema container painted to blend into the surrounds. Always be aware of snakes around water and leaves and think before you put your hands into any hole or where you can’t see the ground.

Today we spent our day geocaching in and around the Caroline Springs area, This was one of 18 finds. Cache and contents are in good condition.

We had searched for this cache during a previous visit but without success. The CO replaced it soon after. Today we returned for another attempt. After a short hunt, the cache was located deep in the leaf litter and bark. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks caughtatwork for the cache and the series.

Next stop my walk/drive around the area and this one was another quick find. No issues and the cache was soon in hand. Left a few others in the location as well to help move them on after a longer than expected stay with me. Shocked

A maintenance run this morning for some of the local caches that need a welfare check. This cache was indeed missing and has been replaced.

Spent 10 minutes searching as per mont, digging down into the leaf litter where possible, but no joy. Hopefully it is not MIA and we just happened to miss it. Thanks anyway caughtatwork.

My tenth and final first to find for today.
So good to be out of lock down and out of the house.
Yesterday was a GC day with +Wife and her Muggle Mate Pam. Our GeoMutts and BoatieTim.
Today was purely me and Geocaching Australia.
Now the time has come to head for home, via Princess Pier to hide The Empire's new moveable which was my first find of the day.
