Description
Summer's finally here! With daylight saving and warm balmy evenings, there's a chance to get a bit of exercise after work and that's what this cache is all about. As well as being in the Moveable Cache Race! (see the details here http://www.cachinggames.com/mcr/index.php)
It's a moving cache, but it needs to stay within the Sydney Olympic parklands so it keeps it's "fun and fitness" attributes. The idea is to make a bike ride around the parklands more fun, by finding and hiding a cache along the way as well.
In fact, this cache is to get blossom* fit! Every time someone moves the cache, blossom*s challenge is to ride around the parklands, find the cache and rehide it. So the more you move it, the fitter blossom* will become! And if you go for a ride to find and move the cache every time blossom* rehides it, you'll get the fittness benefits too!
There are a few simple rules
1. The cache must stay within the boundaries of the "Sydney Olympic Park Map" found on their official web site http://www.sydneyolympicpark.com.au/Visiting/maps Please rehide it in a parkland area, not the Town Centre among all the buildings.
2. When you find the cache, you must move and rehide it again that day and log the new co-ordinate before the end of the day.
3. You can find and move the cache as often as you like, as long as someone else was the last person to hide it (otherwise, you'd know where it was, and what's the fun in that!)
How do you log a moving cache? Easy, first write a "found" log which gives you a "smiley". Then write a second log for "moved" and enter the new co-ordinates and a clue.
There are some really great little spots all over these parklands so I hope you can all discover a few of them and show some to others in return. Help keep that cache moving and get blossom* on her bike as many days a week as you can!!!

Not the quitest spot but it is an interesting little area of water. The birds in such a small area tonight were amazing. Take the time to stop and look at the black swans nesting just near GZ.
I think old age must be catching up with her.

This is a great little spot. Well, I thought it was a bit of an adventure anyway! Low tide might be easiest and there is a nice clear approach from the path from the south where you won't need to push through long grass or shrubby plants.
There can be a zillion people riding, walking and jogging along here but that doesn't matter becasue once you've got the cache, you can take it away and it won't matter who sees where you've been!!
I love it when goole maps shows the cache in the blue of the water!!
Once there, the gps was pretty good but not quite stable enough for pinpoint accuracy. I wasn't quite sure what "traditional hide" meant but I was hoping it didn't mean "in the middle of lots of scratchy clumps" becasue there was a vast area to search in that case!!!
On the premise that there ought to be something obvious if only I looked at the right spot, I wandered around for about 10 minutes and began feeling quite sad that I might not get the chance to use any of my new hidey-holes that i'd found.
But then I saw the stone against the tree and immediatley knew I was in luck! Thanks guys, it was another fun search. I sat on the seat and listened to the frog's choir practice as I wrote in the log again. Isn't it a fabulous place?

Time for Blossom to go on the Hunt! Should be an easy find, Zac / Spindoc Jnr helped hide it

As we sat an pondered why we missed it, we bumped into Zalgariath. After we returned to GZ, he found it straight away.

The cache has been relocated in another pleasant spot and is waiting for you to find it.
Go get it blossom*
Thanks for the lovely walk.

This is a lovely spot to sit and enjoy the view in the evening. I hope the co-ords are ok as I didn't have a pen with me to write them down!
Oh! It's moved! Well THAT was lucky! I headed off to a spot that was a fair long ride from home and found the cache but it was getting pretty late and closer to dark. Figured I might take a short cut across the river but the ferry wasn't going the right way so I rode all the way around and got home just after dark. It's a real shame summer has to end.

Ah, the river. Lovely spot to sit and rest and maybe find a cache! “Sniff sniffâ€. There is one near here, somewhere!

Placed within easy access to walking tracks, car park, water etc.
Headed one direction after reaching the edge of the mangroves and finally decided this is too hard. Retraced my steps and heade in the other direction and once the distance was close headed into the swamp.
Cache soon spotted, great location.

This is a quiet backwater and hidden haven for the local birdlife. Long grass along the way will be wet and sticky if there's a heavy dew. And a liberal spray of aeroguard might be handy too!

Tried for another spot with water views. Don't think they allow swimming here.

There's a seat positioned right here that gives the perfect view down the river. You can see the correct tree on google maps (again) so you shouldn't need the clue.
I had a quick check on the map before I went and the cache hadn't moved from it's spot - or so I thought. Got to the spot and searched, gps was perfect, clue was spot on but not a cache in sight! After a while, my brain began to wonder if geomatica might have grabbed it after work but not logged it's next move. Quick call, nup. OK, a call to home and some rather painful time stepping through how to get on the computer and look up a cache on the web site to someone who doesn't know anythng about the internet.
Ah-ha! New co-ords in hand and the cache was found. If only I'd known it was so close, I could have found it so easily but it never occurred to me it had moved but such a short distance.

I was going to just grab the other cache that was with this, then decided to move it too - about 20feet I reckon. I even reused the camo.

So that it wouldn't get lonely it now has company. In the words of Tim Shaw "but wait, there's more". Pick this up and you will also get a set of steak knifes or another GCA cache.

Sit and watch the fish jumping here. It's amazing how often they seem to jump, I wonder why? You shouldn't need the hint, goole maps seems to show you the correct tree to look at (if you can't guess, it's a casurina!)

Now here's a nice spot I prepared earlier!!I went for a ride back in November sussing out good cache locations and this was a spot I'd found and prepared. Ideal time to use it I reckon. Geomatica might like a lunchtime walk, Ropes might like a morning's ride or Team Lego Men might like a quick before-work drive-by! Of course anyone else may want to find out what all the fun's about too and jump in and join the game.
I'd had a look at this spot for a cache myself but hadn't got very far in my thinking so it's great to see it used. Hope there's a new one there real soon!

This should still be a nice walk for geomatica at lunch time or a great bike ride for anyone else! Good spot to sit and watch the world go by and you could ponder the question of whether paperbark is more likely to keep a cache dry than broken bits of roof tile?
It was a VERY long walk from Concord West railway station to this hiding spot(my bike is being picked up today from it's repairs thank goodness). After about half an hour's walk to get here, I figured I might catch the ferry across the river rather than walking back to the train and luckily a ferry that wasn't supposed to stop pulled in and gave me a lift.

Move a little closer to my window and view of the new location overlooking the water.
Finally got around to participating in this cache. I guess it helped that Team Legoman put it within arms reach of where I work.
Nice spot, busy in the mornings what with walkers and cyclists.
Now, Lynn, Move It!
Thanks Kevin for the cache.

Nice spot at the northern end of the park. Geomatica can keep an eye on it. In amongst the casuarinas with river views.
Retraced my steps and found the small track which was a muddy walk this morning. Had concerns that with the high tide the cache may be underwater but all was fine. Plenty of birds around this morning. Nice spot.

Short move, possibly one of our last in this competition. Left it in a nice area of casuarinas. Come on Blossom, get out there.

I thought I'd hide this somewhere on a straight line between the last spot and Concord railway station! But in the end, I went for a walk around the lake and found a really great little spot to relax and had to hide it there instead. Take a seat and enjoy the view while you write in the log.

Placed this one in a fairly easy spot for blossom* to find and retrieve.
There is another GC cache nearby that you could try as well.
Parked as close as I could and walked the rest of the way. How unfit am I....!
A quick search and using my bushcraft skills I soon nabbed this one.
It will be moved soon for blossom* to find.

Found an off leash dog park. Don't know how often it would get used if you have to pay for parking to use it. Hid it under the most prominent object around. Watch out for the thistles.

I sat here this morning and watched the fish jumping and the divers trying to catch their breakfast! It's a really great spot so I hope whoever finds this will enjoy the tranquility here. Sit on the stone wall and relax for a few minutes.
The cache is able to watch the fish jump too and there's something for you to play with that I found nearby so if you spy it, you'll be at the right spot!

Great minds blossom! I too thought this spot would be a good spot for a cache. I picked it up and moved it further along after going to do a bit of maintenance. Didn't sign the log cause I'd already found it before. In fact didn't even open it. Hope you didn't leave anything special in there?!!!

This should be a fairly accurate gps reading so you might not need any clue except "casurinas" !!! There's even a marked trail of orange reflector to GZ from various starting points - although you would need to know when to stop! as the trail continues on.
OK, check the hint if you need more info.
I loved the dirt track. In fact I had looked down at it yesterday afternoon thinking what a great spot it looked and wondering if I could move the cache there some time in the future!! And a perfect hiding spot too. I don't know how you managed to carry that all the way there just to hide the cache.

What can I say? I love casurinas! This is a rather nice little spot with a lot of birds around you on both sides.
My gps told me it was really accurate for this one but, just in case, there's a good hint as well. I found a few handy rocks to put on the cache which ought to be fairly obvious once you look at the right spot.
I had a great ride today with the tides round here fascinating. With the King High tides also comes the really low ones too and there was water pouring off everywhere and huge expanses of mud showing that you only see once a year.
By the way, don't worry about any nearby caches. The rules permit placing this one as close as you like to another cache and even IN another cache if you want.

Had moved to a new location, checked GC caches to find one about 80m away...checked another location and found another GC cache under the same rock! Kept peddling..finally moving to a higher point, now located beside a small fine leaved acacia.
Blossom must have been up early to go on her bike ride.
But, it was still worth visiting here, I've never seen mangroves before. It was quite unique walking the path from where we parked the car to where the cache was located. Wont have time to try and locate this cache before we go back home.

I love sitting here and watching the tide flow in and out. This morning there was a white-faced heron and an egret there with me watching the tide rush in. Must be a good spot for fishing I guess. Today is a king tide so I hope the cache stays dry! I used a handy brick to cover it so that should at least keep it in place.

Another little clear spot amongst the mangroves with a nice view if you want it. The co-ords shouldn't be too bad but the hiding spot might have you stumped for a bit. You could get your shoes a bit muddy if you're not careful, but I didn't!!
As you can see, I found your hide quite safe and sound. I had been thinking I'd have a nice quiet evening at home and then saw you'd moved the cache already! So I hopped on the bike with only a cursory glance at the map and headed off, only remembering to make a note of the co-ords at the last moment!
With the wrong spot in mind, I started to search while the gps was warming up and found an old rusty cache! I think it's probably been archived by now since I can't find it on the sites but it hasn't been retrieved.
Weird, I thought. So I made my way to a closer spot and started searching there. Weird, I thought, I can't find this cache. But it was there, well camoflaged in the dark.
Thanks Ropes, I enjoyed my afternoon ride and exploration.

This is an interesting little spot to sit and listen to the birds. They've renewed the information signs here recently and that's a good clue for the cache which is at dirt level. You shouldn't need more of a hint than that as the gps reception here is very good (unlike amongst those mangroves!!!)
Your turn ropes!
Luckily the clue was helpful enough and I eventually spied the little pile of typical stones you see around caches! Thanks for the ride tronador

The cache is now in this quiet and peaceful spot which I hadn't realised was here. It's been great exploring to find new spots to hide the cache each time I visit and this is another little gem. There is a small pond and a seat to relax and watch the scenery. I don't reckon many people come here so you will probably have the place all to yourself.

This is a lovely little spot. Park at S33 49.820 E151 04.285 again and ride your bike from there, you'll enjoy it.
Eventually I decided to get as close to the correct co-ords as possible and seach the haystacks near there. And lo! I found the cache. Very thoughtful of you Lego-man as I hadn't been here before.
And the co-ordinates were absolutely spot on, almost as if you had conferred with someone else as to their accuracy.

You'll have to get a bit of exercise yourself for this location!! Good parking spot at S33 49.820 E151 04.285 but you'll have to ride or walk from there. My gps wavered around a bit so you might need the clue.
I wouldn't mind a rest day tomorrow so no need to rush.
