Description
Does Postman Pat have a black and white cat?
This is GabGab's entry in the Moving Cache Race
Your challenge is to locate this cache, collect it, run away, make your log and rehide it in a location that matches where you found it. Once your determine the general location of the cache it should be obvious from the name where the cache is hidden. When you find it and move it along, please rehide it in the same manner so that future finders will find it easy enough.
Please feel free to log this cache up to 10 times as long as you are having fun finding and rehiding it. Of course, you should wait until someone else has hidden it before you can log it as a find again.
There are some simple guidelines:
- When you grab the cache please rehide it within 2 days to keep the cache moving.
- Rehide the cache attached to the same type of object where you found it.
The further away the merrier. - Log your find at Geoaching Australia as soon as you can so others are not trying to find the cache you just moved.
- When logging your find at geocaching.com.au, please insert the co-ordinates in the coords box.
This allows the software to automatically update the new location.
Enter your co-ordinates in the format Sdd mm.mmm Eddd mm.mmm
You don't have to include the degrees or minutes symbols when entering updated co-ordinates but you should leave a space between the degrees and minutes.
Try a copy and paste of the example co-ordinates into the new co-ordinates box and type over them. - Please keep this cache in Australia but feel free to move it interstate if you feel in the mood.
- Wherever possible, try and keep to the difficulty / terrain rating as originally listed.
Of course the best fun about one of these caches is that you don't have to worry about being spotted retrieving the cache. Feel free to be as obvious as you need to be in order to claim it.
Then run away as fast as you can.
Enjoy.

A bit too long too. We will place it again soon.
Thanks GabGab.

A busy location this one, esp when we placed it at peak hour!! Hopefully the fact that everyone is focused on rushing home or to work/school as they pass here will keep prying eyes away from the object and its cache....
Our first movable cache! Neat... =D>

Moved 1625hrs.
Some guy enjoying the winter sun must be wondering what I was doing...walking around looking high and low at the bus-stop then walking round every tree and signpost at the site (I'd not read the entire log when I went out to search).
New site is a mostly quiet location outside of 0830-0900hrs and 1520-1600hrs.

Found at 23:25 on Thursday night. I've had this in mind since the last time I worked in the area. So, being back in the area, swung by on the way to work for a quick find.
Completed the move on the way home in the morning. Should be a simple drive by in a relatively quiet location except perhaps on weekends when floral commerce takes over.

Hidden at a spot that I often purchase lunch and pastries. A very reasonable bakery at this location and the prices are also excellent.
Should be an easy grab whilst tieing the laces. Watch for all the workers at the new pool across the road and also school kids at start and finish times.
Enjoy.
Easy grad, back in the car ond off to get a GCA near the the old St.Kilda training ground. Will look for a spot to re-hide on my travels.

These green structures must have been breeding .... they are everywhere. Postman Pat is now located in a spot that was a disused market garden, ie a large paddock when I was a kid. It is 109m on a bearing of 102 degrees true from what was our family home.
Moved 7.06km
Found it at 1010 at S38 10.378 E144 18.484. Now the challenge is to find another of these bins to relocate the cache. Maybe somewhere in a SE suburb of Melbourne over the weekend.

Apologies for taking longer then usual to log this one.
Hope no one tryed to get it this afternoon, but had some unexpected work commitments to attend to.
Picked this one up while completing another GCA cache in the area.
Thought would be fun to move this one along to my side of town.
Which is not all that far from Williamstown.
Hope people enjoy the new site.
Cheers,
The Lone Random.

Back to a location that has seen a few of these caches before.
Agreed. I knew that the return trip to Australia would be outside the rules, so checked with c@w prior to the move. It was decided that GabGab is ineligible for prizes in the game, and it really wouldn't be nice to leave a 9 year-old's cache stranded in a strange country, so the "illegal" return trip was made. Although it has travelled a very long distance, this cache is not the one that travelled the furthest legal distance. Roma123's cache has those honours. Congratulations Roma123!
I thought there had to be someone else move the cache before you moved it again. pwags took it to Singapore and brought it back again with no-one else finding it.

This is the first MCR cache that I found shortly after midnight on 1st December, and the last one that I have rehidden on 31st January, after a HUGE overseas trip. I thought that it would be entirely appropriate for this one to end its time in the race back in its starting location, close to GabGab, so that she can get her hands on the little gift that I have put in the cache, a memory of its trip to Singapore. Closure!
Congratulations to GabGab on a very successful moving cache - this one has been so far, and seen so many things. I hope that you can keep it moving around Australia now that the race is over.

Is this "the endgame"?
Moved it to Singapore overnight. This city is an incredibly difficult place to hide a cache... cleaners everywhere, very tidy place, and I'd probably be charged with littering if I hid it in the way we do in Australia. Therefore I've decided to hide it in style, safely stored in a publicly-accessible location in the Sheraton Towers hotel. Check the hint if you need specific details about where to find it.
Stay tuned, I have some photos of the cache travelling and arriving in Singapore as proof that it's here... I will post them very soon.
EDIT: 26/1/10... added photos to my log. Happy Australia Day from Singapore!

A long weekend trip with me - how's that for a few more kms?

Decided to take this one a few km north to get some more mileage on it. But don't bother heading out here to find it, I know that it was going to be picked up again very soon for another trip... stay tuned!

Placed under the usual, on my way home from shopping at knifepoint, sorry, highpoint...

After looking at two others locations around Essendon Airport, we settled on this spot, a little bit out of despiration! It has been located in a similar hide/situation as we found it. It is near a main road and as parking space is minimal, take care with traffic.

Picked up this traveller whilst returning from caching activity to the north west of Bendigo. Slightly surprised to find it still here, as it's two travelling companions that it came to Bendigo with appear to have moved on when we looked for them yesterday.
Now in a new location and looking for a lift to ....... wherever!

Placed using a borrowed GPSr so call if there's a problem. This should be nicely situated near several teams so hopefully someone is home to grab it an move it on.

Moved a small distance from the Event (Intervening Days II) so the cache could be picked up and moved a longer distance at the end of the day.

14:33 after finishing our work meeting a quick exchange
Now with the Solomonfamily ready for a work trip to Shepp tomorrow - a very quick pickup after a short dash down the freeway. Our thanks to GabGab, (I am still learning how to attach magents in the way that you have) and to the last hider "Coffee and Cache". Added a little gold after sigining the log.

I've been looking out for a suitable place going to and from work the last couple of days, taking a few alternate routes, but I think they hide most of the required objects in side streets.
Today, Geoson and I went looking while Geodaughter was at her choir, and soon found a suitable location. Use the clue for a quick grab.
Nicely painted container, the second I've had from this cache factory.
Thanks GabGab. I think it might migrate a tad to the East.

Postman Pat delivers in sunshine or rain...today it was rain. The sprint from the car to the green box was very very wet, but Postman Pat is now snugly hidden in a new location.
Thanks GabGab for playing the game
A nicely placed cache for Facitman, park the car, visit regular coffee shop, stop outside to tie shoe laces and pick up two caches!
Thanks GabGab for playing the game and caught@work for placing in a location he knew I would pass today.
Three moveable caches sitting on my desk..... now what to do?

An opportunity came up this evening to drop this cache off closer to central Melbourne, so there it is.
Go find it.

Postman Pat has been moved some distance away to Ballarat. Hopefully the locals can find some enjoyment and move him around.
What a hoot, 4 caches under the same letter box.
Now that makes for easy drive by caching.
I haven't time this afternoon to rehide, but they will be out and about tomorrow.
Depending on whether the child wants to go for a driving lesson, they may be close, they may be far, far away.
Thanks GabGab for this caching fun today.

Re-hidden, in a very obvious location, which will be worth a "handful" of smileys for the lucky finder. No time to waste, go and get it!
We'll be placing it tomorrow, so stay tuned.
Let the game begin!
