Description

Moving Cache Race 2009

Starting out life by the sea this cache can go anywhere and will always take a bit of the beach with it.

BYO pen (but there is a pencil in there somewhere)

There are a few small swaps if you can find them, same story for the log book really, if you are lucky they will all be near the top.

Just so you know this cache is part of the Moving Cache Race

the Rules of this race are:

  • Caches for the competition must be published on 1 December 2009 Australian Eastern Time (GCA Time).
  • The game commences at 00:00:01 1 December 2009 and concludes 23:59:59 31 January 2010.
  • The game administrators decision is final.
  • You can not find and move your own cache during the game period
  • Caches must be found and hidden by the same cacher (i.e. no mailing the cache to another cacher to hide)
  • There is no limit to the number of times other cachers can find / move the cache provided there is at least one other find / move in between
  • There is no limit to the distance other cachers can move the cache
  • Other cachers in the game may find / move your cache, but they must move it on within 2 days
  • Cache must be size small or larger (i.e. no micros or nanos)

BTY 5 random cachers who move a cache in the game period will win a prize so you may get more out of this than just the find.

Wow this was a bit of an epic for no result Sad Tried to access from the North, but was blocked by private property... same story after a 500m walk trying to sneak in from the west... and nasty signs and fences again were encountered from the South after driving the 12km around. That only leaves the east unexplored... but the maps didnt look promising. If the last mover/hider could log co-ords of an access point that would be great, otherwise this cache probably aint ever moving again! Cheers

This beach is far from sand and waves..however rests amoung some shade. You will need a pen to sign the log. Happy Caching and remember if you like, add something for the beach party.

If you visit at the right time of day you may find a few cattle and Kangaroos.

We picked the cache up this afternoon and it has been packed for the trip to canberra. I hope to have it rehidden tomorrow afternoon and if it gets moved while I am in canberra I will try and grab it again for a return trip. I will then bring it to the event on the third for re-hiding locally.
This is our second ever GCA cache.
