Help send Pesky to the moon
If you've met Pesky Geomonkey, chances are he's played a trick on you at some stage, it usually doesn't take him long. Here's your chance to get him back and send him to the moon.
This movable cache is a rocket ship containing a figurine of Pesky and only needs to travel about 376 000 Km's to make it to the moon So move him fast and move him far.
There was very little rocket science used in the design of this ship so it may land anywhere in Australia at any time.
Progress so far
Pesky is just into the Exosphere (the outer layer of earths atmosphere) and is 0.4196% of the way to the moon.
This cache WAS part of the now completed Moving Cache Race which can be viewed at http://www.cachinggames.com/mcr/index.php.
Please still abide by the following rules of the race while helping Pesky get to the moon-
- Caches must be found and hidden by the same cacher (i.e. no mailing the cache to another cacher to hide)
- There is no limit to the number of times other cachers can find / move the cache provided there is at least one other find / move in between
- There is no limit to the distance other cachers can move the cache

Found him and left him exactly where he was. I'm not gonna be getting out much in the next few weeks, so didn't know when/where I could have hidden him.
Let daughter hold Pesky while I logged the cache. She was rather upset that his arm was broken off. Didn't have glue on me, so maybe the next finder that grabs him could fix it

So sorry for the delay moving this one, but I wanted the next location to be a special one. I think I've found just such a place, Melboune's First cache. Pesky is now hiding comfortably with the first ever geocache placed in Victoria. He's sure to be found very quickly here, with all of the 10th birthday hunts visiting soon. Happy travels, Pesky!

Well, was in the area Pesky was last seen today doing pwags caches (amongst others)... where has Pesky flown off to? He seens to be in limbo

I saw this one a few days ago and printed it out ready to grab when I got Down the Line #1 from the nearby train station. Went out yesterday to do the deed, but didn't make it as far as looking for Pesky as the pesky 3yo was hungry, tired, and grumpy. Glad I didn't, as I hadn't seen the previous log at that point.
Look forward to seeing where Pesky ends up.

Seeing that Pesky was so close to home (thanks SamCarter!), and that I didn't get to find him during the MCR earlier this year, today was a great opportunity to see what Pesky is all about. A quick find in a familiar location for me today. What a brilliant container - I just felt a little embarrassed being seen by a few cyclists as I was walking back to the car, though. I'll move Pesky on very soon, probably only a modest number of km, but better than nothing! Stay tuned.

My apologies for the hold ups in the launch and landing sequence, but there were disruptions at all attempts to reach escape velocity and it took a while to finalise plans for a suitable return to earth. Escape was achieved tonight, and after an uncertain incoming trajectory touchdown was accomplished safely (I hope).

Wow... I have in my hands a piece of Australian Space Exploration history! Cool! I shall now have to see what I can do to get Pesky a little closer to the Moon...

We were here doing a car swap when Freddymjt noticed a convenient place for a hide, so that's where Pesky is now.

Picked up this very interesting cache as the last one of the day. My boys were very interested to see it in the car when I picked them up and talked me into letting them trade, even though they hadn't actually found the cache for themselves... Took mini-torch and marble, left fountain pen and geocaching tattoo.

Not sure whether to call this our 800th cache or not. There's a couple of virtuals we haven't logged yet due to late email replies allowing us to go ahead and log, but this is certainly our 800th logged find...
at the moment...
if... that means anything.
We'll move it along soon

Found this cache at 1032hrs. Took and moved it to a new location on the Eastern Shore as high as possible. i.e. as close to the moon as you can from earth. The views here are great as they would be from our lunar neighbour. Take me from under and behind rock at logs end to a new spot and keep me moving please. Cheers OldSaint.

nice hide there, will have it back out soon

Found this one easily (and in a very convenient place!). I dont know if I will be able to get your rocket cache much closer to the moon, but every little bit counts, right? Took out barrel of monkeys as the cache was too full, left an unactivated geocoin and a compass. Will put it back out tonight.

Great container!
Clever Swampy chose a similar shaped hiding place to match the cache, now where will I hide it?
Swapped a shell for ruler

Wow! Love the container. I was worried that it may have been hidden right under the nose of security at the main gate but just as I was approaching, the arrow swung round and lead me off in a different direction. I know just where to hide it....
Thanks for the cache

Pesky has moved a handy place close to the runaway for launch (or perhaps for those traveling interstate).
Opps Typo! it is still in the ACT!

Trying to get this one to take to Hobart but it was already gone...

Mark - I think your miss relates to its location a couple of moves ago. I have just checked and this cache and it is still at the listed co-ordinates.

Pesky has a new temporary home in Canberra. A simple drive by in a quiet location. Please move pesky quickly.

We picked up Pesky this afternoon and it has been packed for the trip to canberra. Loved the rocket. I hope to have it rehidden tomorrow afternoon and if it gets moved while I am in canberra I will try and grab it again for a return trip. I will then bring it to the event on the third for re-hiding locally. Neat hide in a great location, had no idea this park was here.
This is our First ever GCA cache.
Mix you neglected to grab yout FTF Prize!!!!
