Description
A movable cache placed for the GCA "Moving Cache Race" game.

Cache Me If You Can is C&C's first GCA cache and specially created to take part in the GCA "Moving Cache Race" game, however, after the game is concluded, it should be treated like any other GCA movable cache.
The rules of the "Moving Cache Race Game" are published on the Caching Games site, but basically if you find the cache, the idea is to move it to another suitable location of your choosing as soon as possible and provide the new location when logging the find. A picture of where you found the cache would be nice also.
The cache itself is a 200ml sistema, with log book, pen etc. The cache is equipped with a strong magnet in order to provide an alternative fixing method.
We don't have any specific goals or hiding requirements for this movable cache. Please just keep it in Australia, and don't take it anywhere too remote from major populaton centres.
Logs
July 2010
Alas, a long morning trying to get the geokids out of the house, a cold morning and dangerous terrain (for the little ones at least) meant that my search had to be short! At least the general hiding place was obvious!
... And then I re-read the logs and realise that rogpol and jenmen have (probably) been in kahoots again and already moved the cache on!
That's what I get for learning about a cache at 2am, and scheming about it instead of sleeping!
Great idea anyway, hope to see it around town!
Now to find another place for it to hide.
Love the idea of a moveable cache.

Never thought I'd do a GCA until I received an overnight request to collect this "drive-by" enroute to the Bathurst area... oh well it was only another 40 mins to the trip.
Found after skirting the Saturday AM breathalyzer in the car park, waved to the boys in blue and parked just up from the witches hats. I got some interesting looks but they were too busy with the clip boards and their own stats.
A quick find, now moving back west.
Placed in a small Grand Canyon between "the mountain" and "the campus".
What a great concept.

Moved it on quickly to a spot where I may place a cache shortly. Should be a quick find near the entrance to the Great North Walk at the park at Mt Wilberforce (West Pennant Hills). Love the coords I got!

Dropped in a nice little park in Epping. Sorry if you were watching this and saw it placed in a spot near Macquarie Uni. Got my caches mixed up.

I couldn't belive how many cars drive past this spot when you're trying to be discrete and hide a nice little magnetic cache somewhere.

Went to do a swap with Childhood memories and found that someone had already taken it so left this in it's place anyway.
A busy place with walkers and joggers at 8:00am.

Moved along a bit, great spot for a walk, great park. Time to check out the table!

Had a look at some of the old headstones with some very intricate masonry work on the way back to the car after the neighbor called out to us and had a bit of a chat.

Moved to pastures new, well not quite as it is near the old Bowenfels cemetery.
The cache is not in the cemetery but you will have to walk thru it to get to the south slope where the cache is.
Don't get stumped!
Please spend some time exploring this historic place.
Will move this on probably tomorrow.

Finally found somewhere we were happy to drop this off. Few other caches around here you can do if you have a mind to. Cache is located at the base of a tree under some rocks.
Mind you if "Missing the obvious" was an Olympic event I would be the Champion at it, so likely I missed it altogether.

Place in our lovely home town of Hazelbrook.
Still not sure why this footpath goes round these trees!?!
Will move this week.

Co-ordinates maybe a little out because of the trees, however all will be very clear when you reach GZ
Whilst there have a look at the historical feature a horse watering trough when this was the main road.

Put in my own personal cache that I know a local cacher will be happy to get it from. Want to keep it moving.

Since it was so easy to find right next to another cache, I figured right IN another cache would be even better! Grand National can be found at http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?wp=gc1vfgg
And surprisingly this turned out to be a good spot to use the magnets!

Arrived in Sydney and dropped this cache along with Post Haste in the same location (see hint). That should put some k's on these caches clocks. Co-ords may be a little off, but the hint is a giveaway.

I will be in Sydney on Wednesday so I hope to hide this very soon after I get there.

A quick move close to the caughtatwork household but don't go looking for it, it's on the move again.
Added an original GCA pathtag and a new GCA Enigmatic Echidna pathtag for the next lucky finder.
This cache will be moving fast tonight then if the gods are aligned, off to another state later in the week.
A small hiatus may occur during transfer.
We apologise for the inconvenience

Moved this one on. Hidden in an Armco barrier on the West bound Freeway entrance.
Decided to grab some caches to make sure I had at least 1 to drop off somewhere before I go on holidays tomorrow.
Perfect!
Nabbed them all at once!
Sorry C@W, you snooze, you lose 'oP

Took the long way to my mums via Shepparton.
Dropped this one with another.
Didn't check co-ordinates with google earth, bf left the wireless ariel in his top drawer at work.
Ready to go and grab!
(Oops, forgot to take a pic of the structure I grabbed it from, sorry.)

PR&F has placed 'Cache Me If You Can.'
It's not on exactly the same structure I got it from, but it's a nice location.
There was also a FTF opportunity for me here so check out Possum crossing by 80degrees at the same time.
With The Empire collecting a movable cache earlier in the day, pocketrocket wanted one too!
Was lucky enough to pick this up and I will place in the north tomorrow.
TFTC, great location!

... and on the move again. I've placed it in a location which will be very familiar to some, and an opportunity for a few smileys if you've never been here before. It's VERY close to c@w's GCA cache, and also right near a short offset GC hide. Convenient for the inner-west teams, and only a short distance across the WG Bridge for those over the other side. Go and get it!
Many thanks to dcr, solomonfamily, pwags and caughtatwork
Fantastic - thanks

Hmmm, I think I've been here before and now that we're in pwags territory, it might not stay very long.
New co-ords to follow soon.

After winning a local tennis game I sat down in a local park on the way to lunch....
No need to walk in any garden bed for this one....
With such a brilliant day of sunshine upon our wondrous turf, the hallowed rules of tennis must come into play.
The Eltham Mob searches in their caching bag and discovers an old wooden tennis racket and volleys the cache across to ...

Re-hidden within a few minutes of finding it. It's not a long-distance move, but it will still give you some "points" for the game, and also gives solomonfamily a chance to grab it again in case they really want to make the trip to Shepparton this weekend. The location will be very easy to find - it's where "Surge Upwards" started the game. Go and get it!

Water Water everywhere but not a drop to drink - I would have loved to drive to Shepperton today but had an issue at work - took the easy way out and dropped the cache close by - nearly stopped for a coffee too.

I hid it this morning after doing Alansee's new Mural one nearby. It's a very typical hide and should be very easy. I checked the co-ords using Google Earth and they should be very precise.
I noticed this one before I left for work this morning, but I wasn't sure of the rules pertaining to the game and I didn't know whether it was ok for non-players to pick up these caches. After checking up on this during the day at work, it was just a 200m diversion on my way home to pop into this familiar park and retrieve it. Not that it matters now, but it was lucky there was a good hint, as I felt the co-ords were about 20m off - but, after a quick check, I headed for the nearest thing that matched and there it was. I'll probably replace it tomorrow, but I know a team that's heading a long way north shortly and I might check with them first.
Thanks Coffee&Cache
The initial position is in an area of natural bush in a great little park quite close to C&C's home.
It should not present any difficulty to the finder, and is hopefully, just out of sight of most muggles visiting the area. Watch out for snakes! You will find two GC caches quite close by as well.
There is a gate (South side), it just isn't very obvious.
